Welterweight champion Leon Edwards heads home to London as a +200 underdog in his first title defense at UFC 286, while Kamaru Usman comes in as the -240 favorite. Kamaru Usman is without a doubt one of the most dominant UFC champions in history. Prior to his astonishing loss in August, Usman had not been defeated since 2013. The “Nigerian Nightmare” has vanquished some of the greatest welterweights in UFC history in dominant fashion. Usman has beat up on the likes of Demian Maia, Rafael Dos Anjos, Tyron Woodley, Colby Covington (x2), and Jorge Masvidal (x2) along the way.
Usman is known for his relentless wrestling and ground and pound, but he has also developed a powerful striking game in recent years. Unfortunately for Usman fans, he got caught with a devastating head kick at UFC 278.

On the other hand, Leon Edwards has quietly made his way up the welterweight rankings. Edwards has not lost a fight since 2015 and has overpowered some tough opponents, including Rafael dos Anjos, Donald Cerrone, and Nate Diaz. UFC fans are in for a treat, as the co-main event of UFC 286 features a thrilling lightweight matchup between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev. Gaethje is known for his aggressive striking and powerful leg kicks, while Fiziev is a skilled Muay Thai fighter with a very dangerous striking game.
Gaethje is coming off an ugly submission loss to former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
