It will be Namajunas’ second title defense with her first coming all the way back at UFC 223 in April 2018.

Namajunas (8-3) is coming off of two wins in a row over the once considered unbeatable Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217 and UFC 223. She won the belt by first-round TKO and then grinded out a decision win over the former champ to defend her belt for the first time. Before that, Namajunas beat Michelle Waterson by submission and also has notable wins over the likes of Paige VanZant, Tecia Torres, and Angela Hill, among others. But her three losses came against Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Tecia Torres, and Carla Esparza.

Andrade (19-6) is riding a three-fight win streak and is coming off of a first-round knockout over Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 228. Before that, she beat Tecia Torres, Claudia Gadelha, and has beaten the likes of Raquel Pennington, Joanne Calderwood, and Angela Hill, among others. But she lost by unanimous decision to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in her only title fight.

This fight is a rather interesting one. Andrade no doubt has knockout power, but Namajunas shocked many when she knocked out Jedrzejczyk. Both fighters are solid on their feet, but Namajunas will throw more volume than the Brazilian. On the ground, Namajunas has a very good ground game and has shown in the UFC she can submit the best of the best. And, Andrade has lost two times by submission in the UFC.
Namajunas has a very good ground game and has shown in the UFC she can submit the best of the best.
Ultimately, I believe Namjuans will defend her belt on the road in Andrade’s home country. She will be able to outpoint her and win by unanimous decision.
Pick: Rose Namajunas (-101)
UFC 237: Jared Cannonier vs Anderson Silva Odds

Fight Record and Recent History
Cannonier (11-4) made the move down to the middleweight division in a big way in his last fight. He stepped in on short notice to take on David Branch at UFC 230 where he knocked out Branch in the second round. The win put Cannonier in the rankings and set him up for this fight. Before the win, Cannonier was a struggling light heavyweight who lost by TKO to Dominick Reyes and lost by decision to Jan Blachowicz. However, at light heavyweight, he does hold a win over Ion Cutelaba.

Silva (34-9 and one no-contest) has struggled as of late as he is 1-5 and one no-contest in his last seven. In his last fight out he went all three rounds with Israel Adesanya but did lose by unanimous decision. Before that he beat Derek Brunson by decision and then lost to Daniel Cormier and Michael Bisping before having a no-contest against Nick Diaz. He also has two losses to Chris Weidman during that seven-fight stretch, but in his prime Silva beat the likes of Chael Sonnen, Demian Maia, Vitor Belfort, and Forrest Griffin, among others.

In his last fight against Adesanya, Silva showed he still had it, but Silva was a bad matchup for the new interim champion. As for Cannonier, I believe he will have much better success and be able to catch Silva and knock him out. But, if he can’t knock him out I still think Cannonier will be the younger, faster, stronger fighter in there and get his hand raised by decision.
Pick: Jared Cannonier (-160)
