Bellator MMA is in London, England this Saturday for Bellator 235. In the main event, fan favorite Michael Page takes on Gianni Melillo, who took the fight on short notice in which the Italian will be making his promotional debut.
In the co-main event, surging contender Fabian Edwards has his toughest fight to date when he battles Mike Shipman. The card also features Soren Bak making his promotional debut against Terry Brazier.

Can Page Win Two in a Row?
Michael Page (15-1) is coming off of a very impressive knockout win over Richard Kiely in the first round of Bellator Dublin in September. There, he landed a perfectly executed flying knee that knocked the Irishman out cold.
Before that, the Englishman suffered his first loss as a professional as he was knocked out by Douglas Lima in the semi-finals of the welterweight grand prix. Page’s biggest win of his career is a decision win over Paul Daley earlier this year.

Gianni Melillo (13-4) returned to the win column last time out as he edged a decision win over UFC veteran, Will Chope.
Before that, he was knocked out in back-to-back fights in the Italian regional scenes. All four of his losses have come by TKO or KO.

He showed he is a top ten welterweight with his win over Paul Daley, but after his knockout loss to the now-welterweight champion, they’ve yet to challenge him with anything other than local fighters.

Page is a phenomenal and flashy fighter, yet, fans are starting to lose interest in his fights and this will be another one where he will earn a first or second-round knockout to add to his highlight reel.
Pick: Michael Page (-1000)
Fabian Edwards vs. Mike Shipman Odds
Fighter | Odds |

Fabian Edwards | -325 |
Mike Edwards | +250 |
Can Edwards Stay Undefeated?
Fabian Edwards (8-0) is now 3-0 in Bellator on the European series. Before signing, he was fighting in BAMMA, and he is also the younger brother of UFC welterweight, Leon Edwards. In Bellator, he has beaten Lee Chadwick, Falco Neto, and Jonathan Bosuku.
Mike Shipman (13-2) lost his last fight to Costello van Steenis by knockout. The loss snapped the Englishman’s 13-fight win streak as he lost his pro debut.
Shipman has been in Bellator since 2016 and has notable wins over Scott Futrell, Carl Noon, and UFC veteran, Craig White, who he beat him in a regional promotion.

Shipman is an experienced fighter who had he beaten van Steenis, would have been one or two fights away from a title shot. So, this is a crucial fight for both fighters as Edwards wants to remain undefeated while Shipman wants to get back to title contention.
In the end, I believe Edward’s pace and pressure will be too much for Shipman as he will be able to grind out a decision win, or possibly earn a late stoppage.
Pick: Fabian Edwards (-325)
Soren Bak vs. Terry Brazier Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Soren Bak | -250 |
Terry Brazier | +195 |
Soren Bak is someone I am really high on and believe the UFC should have signed. He is one of the top European prospects and will get a big win here in his Bellator debut.
