Bellator is making the most of their debut in Paris, France with two events in one day on October 10, 2020.
In the main event of Bellator Euro Series 10, Cheick Kongo and Tim Johnson have their rematch after fighting back at Bellator 208 in 2018. The co-main event sees a featherweight clash between Saul Rogers and Arbi Mezhidov.
Bellator Euro Series 10 main card airs live on Bellator’s YouTube channel at 5 PM EST. Let’s take a look at the odds for this event and which bets I’m targeting.

Who Wins The Rematch?
Cheick Kongo thought he would be getting an immediate rematch with Ryan Bader for the heavyweight title after their fight ended in a no-contest. However, that will not be the case as he will rematch Tim Johnson.
Kongo & Johnson Recent Fights
Ryan Bader, no contest (eye pokes) | Fight 1 | Matt Mitrione, win by TKO |
Vitaly Minakov, win by decision | Fight 2 | Tyrell Fortune, win by KO |
Tim Johnson, win by TKO | Fight 3 | Vitaly Minakov, loss by KO |
Javy Ayala, win by TKO | Fight 4 | Cheick Kongo, loss by TKO |
Tim Johnson had a rough start to his Bellator career as he lost in just 68 seconds to Cheick Kongo. He then stepped up on just hours notice to fight Vitaly Minakov and was knocked out.
His next fight was against Tyrell Fortune where if he lost, his job would be on the line but in back-to-back fights, he has pulled off the betting upset and has his confidence back.

In their first fight, Johnson admitted he was too scared of Kongo’s power and was only focused on wrestling. That ended up costing him as he stuck onto Kongo’s legs while the Frenchman landed several punches and the ref stopped the fight.
In the rematch, Johnson has all the momentum and confidence behind him, while we saw Kongo struggle with the wrestling of Bader last time out.

Early on, expect Kongo to look for the knockout and Johnson to use his wrestling to get the Frenchman down and hold him down there. I like Johnson to pull off the upset using his wrestling and avoiding the power hand which he did against Fortune and Mitrione.
He has confidence in himself and the mental game is a big part of MMA while Kongo might be overlooking Johnson as he is focused on the rematch with Bader.
Pick: Tim Johnson (+120)

How Will Mezhidov Do In His Bellator Debut?
Saul Rogers was just knocked out of the Bellator featherweight grand prix and will have to welcome Arbi Mezhidov to Bellator.
Rogers & Mezhidov Recent Fights
Daniel Weichel, loss by decision | Fight 1 | Krisztian Simon, win by TKO |
Aiden Lee, win by decision | Fight 2 | Souk Khampasath, win by decision |
Aurel Pirtea, loss by submission | Fight 3 | Ludovit Klein, loss by decision |
Michael Adalena, win by submission | Fight 4 | Jose Zarauz, win by decision |
This is a good test for Mezhidov’s Bellator debut to see where he fits into the stacked featherweight division. Rogers is among the very best and really should be in the UFC after having so much success on The Ultimate Fighter with wins over Ryan Hall and Billy Quarantillo. Yet, visa issues kept him out of it and he was released by the promotion.
Expect Rogers to use his jab to close the distance and take Mezhidov down. Once he does that, Rogers should be able to submit the Austrian, yet at -235 that is too high for my liking.
Pick: Saul Rogers (-235)
Other Bellator Euro Series 10 Picks:
- Terry Brazier (-310): Brazier will be able to keep this fight away from the ground as an active striker and earn a clear decision win.
- Fabacary Diatta (-105): Diatta is undefeated and fighting at home. I like him to be more active and use his wrestling to grind out a decision win.
