The Professional Fighters League is heading back to Atlantic City on Thursday, July 11th with a stacked card at Ocean Casino Resort. There, the promotion’s welterweights and women’s lightweights will compete for the second time this season as they look to punch their tickets into the playoffs. Here are the odds and my picks for the main card.
Chris Curtis vs Magomed Magomedkerimov Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Chris Curtis | +330 |
Magomed Magomedkerimov | -400 |
*Odds taken 07/10/19
Magomed Magomedkerimov is the reigning welterweight champion of PFL after he beat Ray Cooper III in the finals. Now, to start the season, he submitted John Howard in the first round to earn the maximum six points and set him up to make the playoffs again. Curtis, meanwhile, got a third-round finish and will no doubt look to keep this fight on the feet as he has 10 wins by KO/TKO.

Magomedkerimov also has serious knockout power, but is a real threat on the ground, as evident by his eight submission wins. I see the Russian being able to finish Curtis in the second or third round by submission.
Pick: Magomed Magomedkerimov (-400)
Kayla Harrison vs Morgan Frier Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Kayla Harrison | -1500 |
Morgan Frier | +950 |
The PFL added the women’s lightweight division for Kayla Harrison, and through the first event, it appears that is what is happening.

Although Frier is a tough opponent, Harrison will use her judo to take her down and get a ground and pound finish.
Pick: Kayla Harrison (-1500)
Roberta Samad vs Sarah Kaufman Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Roberta Samad | +650 |
Sarah Kaufman | -950 |
If there is one real challenger to Kayla Harrison it is former Invicta Bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman. She is a former UFC fighter and has the experience over every fighter in the division. This will be another winnable fight for her as I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kaufman finish the fight.
Pick: Sarah Kaufman (-950)
John Howard vs Ray Cooper III Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
John Howard | +450 |
Ray Cooper III | -600 |
Ray Cooper III is the real deal at the welterweight division and has a good chance to win it all.

The Hawaiian has excellent standup and has knockout power. His ground game is also severely underrated and I expect Cooper III to be able to knock out Howard and get another win on his record and advance to the playoffs.
Pick: Ray Cooper III
Andre Fialho vs Zane Kamaka Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Andre Fialho | -175 |
Zane Kamaka | +150 |
Zane Kamaka missed weight last time out and was dominated by his cousin, Ray Cooper III. But, matching these two up is great as this will be a super entertaining and close fight. I like Kamaka as the underdog to pull this one off as he uses his jiu-jitsu and wrestling to get this fight to the mat and control it.
Pick: Zane Kamaka (+150)
Glaico Franca vs Sadibou Sy Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Glaico Franca | -300 |
Sadibou Sy | +250 |
The odds do not reflect how close this fight will be. If Sy can keep the fight standing I think he can knock out Franca. I believe Franca will use his striking to close the distance and get a takedown and look for a submission win, which is possible. I think this fight goes the distance with Franca winning by decision.
Pick: Franca (-300)
