2025 World Series Odds
The Los Angeles Dodgers are the chalk at +275 – the shortest preseason World Series odds in more than 20 years – followed by the Atlanta Braves (+750), New York Yankees (+850), Philadelphia Phillies (+1200), and New York Mets (+1200) in the 2025 World Series odds.

Best World Series Value Bet – Texas Rangers (+2000)
Major League Baseball hasn’t seen a back-to-back champion since the New York Yankees won three straight titles in the late 1990s. For that reason, we’re looking further down the board for some World Series value picks. At +275 odds, the Dodgers carry an implied probability of 26.67%. Los Angeles are massive favorites compared to their peers, but the MLB playoffs are a crapshoot. Heck, the Arizona Diamondbacks made the World Series in 2023 after winning just 84 games. While the Braves won it all in 2021, despite winning the fewest contests (88) of any playoff squad.
All of this to say a Rangers squad that took home the 2023 World Series championship could make another run in late October. Remember, Bruce Bochy won a World Series every other year with the San Francisco Giants in the 2010s, and he’ll aim to continue that trend in the 2020s.
Bochy’s squad has elevated top-tier pitching prospects Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter to aid the rotation heading into 2025. Both will be leaned on to begin the year with Cody Bradford and Jon Gray on the injured list. Rocker posted a 1.96 ERA with 55 strikeouts in 10 appearances in the Minors last season before joining the big league squad. While Leiter struck out 110 bettors in Triple-A last season to win the Pacific Coast pitcher of the year award. Should their young arms figure it out, and Bochy manages to find the magic touch with his strengthened bullpen, the Rangers will be a problem for opposing hitters.
Additionally, Corey Seager has absolutely raked during his time in Texas. In just 123 games last season, he went .278/.353/.512. All Seager needs to do is stay healthy. If the former Dodger can stay on the field, he could become the AL MVP.
Plus, the Rangers have an ace in Jacob deGrom. In just over 10 innings last September, deGrom posted a 1.69 ERA. When healthy, he’s one of the best pitchers in the world. Ultimately, Bochy is one of the best managers in MLB, and he’ll find a way to get the best out of an improved Rangers roster. As such, the Rangers are my favorite 2025 World Series value bet at +2000 odds.
