Twins vs Dodgers Probable Pitchers

Sonny Gray (4-0, 1.39) is expected to pitch for the Twins against Dustin May (4-1, 2.68). Both will be working on four days of rest.

Gray had a no-decision against the Chicago Cubs last Friday at home. He allowed only one run on four hits in 5.1 innings while striking out nine and walking one.

This will be Gray’s sixth career start against the Dodgers. He has a 1-3 record and a 3.16 ERA.

The Twins are 5-3 when Gray pitches and he has logged three quality starts. On the road this season, Gray is 1-0 with a 2.40 ERA in three starts. He has been lights out on the road with a 3-0 record and 0.78 ERA in four outings.

May is 3-0 with a 2.35 ERA in his last four starts, though he had a no-decision last Friday against the visiting San Diego Padres. He pitched 6.2 innings and gave up two runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three.

May has made only one start in the day this season, beating the San Francisco Giants on April 11 when he surrendered two runs in 5.1 innings. He is 1-0 with a 3.33 ERA in four starts at Dodger Stadium.

May, whose NL Cy Young odds are +1000, has recorded quality starts in half of his eight outings. The Dodgers are 5-3 in those games.
