In the resumption of the game suspended Saturday, the Nationals’ Abrams hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the decisive run. Abrams finished with two hits and two RBIs and Lane Thomas, Keibert Ruiz and Dominic Smith added two hits each for the Nationals.
The Mets Michael Perez went 4 for 4. Brandon Nimmo and Brett Baty had two hits apiece.
The Mets activated left-hander Brooks Raley (left elbow inflammation) from the injured list before the second game and designated right-hander Dennis Santana for assignment. Raley pitched one scoreless inning, though he had three walks.
