In a matchup of left-handers, the Mets’ David Peterson (1-5, 7.68) will face Patrick Corbin (1-5, 4.87). Both will be pitching on five days of rest.

He pitched six innings and allowed three runs (two earned) and eight hits while striking out three and walking none.

At Nationals Park, Corbin is winless this season in five starts with an 0-3 mark and 4.94 ERA. He is 0-4 with a 4.86 ERA in six starts in the daylight.

In the resumption of the game suspended Saturday, the Nationals’ Abrams hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the decisive run. Abrams finished with two hits and two RBIs and Lane Thomas, Keibert Ruiz and Dominic Smith added two hits each for the Nationals.

The Mets Michael Perez went 4 for 4. Brandon Nimmo and Brett Baty had two hits apiece.

The Mets activated left-hander Brooks Raley (left elbow inflammation) from the injured list before the second game and designated right-hander Dennis Santana for assignment. Raley pitched one scoreless inning, though he had three walks.
