  • We’ve got a giant 15-game MLB Slate for Dinger Tuesday on April 7
  • FanDuel is giving out a 50% profit boost on home run bets so we may as well use it
  • See below for my +3090 home run parlay for Tuesday night

FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday promotion used to be an institution in the gambling community. It had everything: dingers and bonus bets. Through that promotion, we learned that’s all we needed in life. Now, it’s different. There are no bonus bets if our guys don’t go yard. Instead, we just get one 50% boost to use on a single bet. Honestly, it’s not great but a boost is a boost and we need to find a way to use them. Lucky for us, God gave us the two-leg parlay. In my opinion, it’s the best way to use a boost like this since all we need to do is find two guys that we know are going deep tonight. We parlay them together using our boost and BAM, we’ve made magic. This could easily be the greatest night of our lives. Maybe better.

Tuesday Home Run Parlay Leg #1 – Yordan Alvarez to Hit a Home Run

I’ll be honest with you all. The haters are saying that Yordan has fallen off. They’re saying he only has one home run this season and he’s only batting .176. The bad news is, all of that is true. He’s not doing well.

The good news is that Yordan could put a ball into orbit at any moment.

Here’s the deal, everyone is going to be on Yordan tonight because he owns Luis Castillo. Like owns him, owns him. He’s got eight hits off of him in just 18 plate appearances. Of those eight hits, three of them went over the fence. That’s all good and all if you’re into batter vs pitcher.

What I really care about is exit velocity. In Yordan’s last two games prior to the start of this series, he hit four balls 100+ mph. One of them went over the fence. That’s a great sign for all of us dinger people. We don’t care about average. We don’t even care about home run totals. What we want are guys that are crushing baseballs. Yordan is doing that at the moment. Feels good.

Tuesday Home Run Parlay Leg #2 – Gunnar Henderson to Hit a Home Run

Speaking of exit velocity, let’s talk Gunnar Henderson. He’s a classic case of a guy that has not put one in the seats yet, but we know it’s coming any game now. In his defense, he’s only played a couple of games since coming off the IL this season.

One thing is for sure, he’s killing the baseball at the moment.

I wanted to play Gunnar in his first game coming off the IL. He’s a Circle of Trust guy that looks great in any dinger parlay. The thing is, we can’t just expect him to hit home runs on demand. He needs to be ready. The guy isn’t a magician.

The thing about Gunnar is, he’s ready now. Last night proved it for me when he hit two balls 102+ mph. Tonight he’s going to see Merrill Kelly who got baptized by the New York Yankees last time out. My guess is, Gunnar leads off this game with a dinger. Keep your head on a swivel if you’re planning on sitting in the right-field bleachers.

  • The Bet: Gunnar Henderson HR (+556) – FanDuel
