A clash of National League titans is set for the 2026 NLCS as the MLB-best Milwaukee Brewers (103-59 overall, 55-26 home, 48-33 away) host the two-time defending World Series-champion Los Angeles Dodgers (100-62 overall, 51-30 home, 49-32 away) in a best-of-seven series with a trip to the Fall Classic on the line.
Milwaukee claimed the NL Central crown, captured the No. 1 overall seed across baseball, earned home-field advantage throughout the postseason, and punched its NLCS ticket by dispatching the San Diego Padres in four games in the NLDS. The Dodgers navigated a four-game NLDS victory over the Atlanta Braves. Despite Milwaukee holding home-field advantage and baseball’s top regular-season mark, Los Angeles enters the series as a sizable betting favorite.
Dodgers vs Brewers Odds for NLCS
Los Angeles is trading as a 63-cent favorite at Kalshi, which equates to roughly -170 American odds, while Milwaukee is priced as a 38-cent underdog (+163). The total-games and game-spread lines have yet to open.
In the World Series odds, the two-time defending-champion Dodgers are now trading at 44¢ (+127), well ahead of the second-favorite Tampa Bay Rays (24.6¢).

MIL vs LAD Head-to-Head & Postseason History
The 2026 regular-season series leaned in favor of Milwaukee, with the Brewers taking four of seven head-to-head meetings (4-3). While the Dodgers took two of three in Milwaukee back in late May (including 11-3 and 5-1 victories), the Brewers answered in mid-August by winning three of four at Dodger Stadium behind stellar run prevention (5-4, 4-1, and 6-2 wins).
This matchup marks a chance for redemption for the top-seeded Brewers against their perennial postseason roadblock. The Dodgers outlasted Milwaukee in a thrilling seven-game 2018 NLCS, swept them in the 2020 NL Wild Card Series, and swept Milwaukee in the 2025 NLCS en route to their second consecutive World Series crown.
NLCS Probable Pitching Matchups (Games 1–4)
Factoring in normal rest following each club’s Division Series closeouts on October 7:
Game 1 (Sunday, Oct. 11 @ MIL): RHP Jacob Misiorowski (16-5, 1.80 ERA) vs LHP Tarik Skubal (12-7, 2.72 ERA): Both aces last started in NLDS Game 1 on Saturday, October 3. With a full seven days of rest, Misiorowski (who struck out four over 4.0 innings in his postseason opener) and Skubal (6.0 IP, 1 R, 2 H in his start) line up on full rest.
Game 2 (Monday, Oct. 12 @ MIL): RHP Logan Henderson (11-3, 2.47 ERA) vs LHP Blake Snell (4-1, 1.90 ERA): Both Game 2 starters from the NLDS took the hill on Sunday, October 4. Henderson worked 5.0 solid frames allowing two runs against San Diego, while the veteran Snell tossed 3.2 innings against Atlanta. Both will pitch on an ample seven days of rest.
Game 3 (Wednesday, Oct. 14 @ LAD): RHP Dustin May (7-9, 4.70 ERA) vs RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto (14-9, 2.53 ERA): The travel day on Tuesday, October 13, allows both clubs to retain their rotation alignment on extended rest. May pitched 3.0 innings for Milwaukee in NLDS Game 3 on Tuesday, October 6, while Yamamoto dominated Atlanta with 7.0 innings of one-run ball on 100 pitches that same night. Both will enter Game 3 on seven days of rest
Game 4 (Thursday, Oct. 15 @ LAD): LHP Robert Gasser (5-5, 3.87 ERA) vs RHP Tyler Glasnow (5-2, 3.53 ERA): In Game 4, the Brewers will likely send southpaw Robert Gasser to the mound on a full week’s rest following his 4.0-inning, one-run start in NLDS Game 4. The Dodgers should counter with flame-throwing right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who held opponents to one run over 4.2 innings in his NLDS Game 4 start on October 7.

Dodgers vs Brewers NLCS Prediction & Pick
While the market heavily favors the Dodgers at -170, the Milwaukee Brewers at +163 (38 cents) represent substantial betting value for this NLCS matchup.
Milwaukee was baseball’s best team in 2026, leading the majors with a .636 win percentage and, more importantly, a +214 run differential, which was a shade better than LA’s +201 mark. By winning the NL’s top seed, Milwaukee secured crucial home-field advantage for Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 at American Family Field. Earning plus-money (+163) on a 103-win club with home-field advantage in a seven-game series offers an immediate mathematical edge.
Despite narrative advantages tilting toward the Dodgers’ star-studded lineup, the 2026 metrics demonstrate that Milwaukee was statistically equal or superior across the board:
- Scoring: The Brewers led the NL with 832 runs (5.14 per game) compared to the Dodgers’ 801 runs (4.94 per game).
- On-Base Skills: Milwaukee posted a superior team OBP (.338 to .337) and team batting average (.258 to .257).
- Pitching: Milwaukee’s pitching staff conceded fewer runs per game across their bullpen (3.40 bullpen ERA vs LAD’s 3.74) and owned a better overall team ERA (3.51 vs 3.55).
In the 2026 regular season, Milwaukee won the head-to-head season series 4–3, including taking three out of four games at Dodger Stadium during a four-game set in August while holding the Dodgers to two runs or fewer in two of those contests.
A seven-game series carries high natural variance: even a true 55/45 series favorite only wins a best-of-seven about 60.8% of the time. For Los Angeles to justify a -170 price tag, their true per-game win probability would need to exceed 56% across seven games against a 103-win club.
Because Milwaukee projects much closer to a coin-flip (~47–49% series win probability), backing the Brewers at +163 is by far the highest-value wager on the board.
