Los Angeles vs Baltimore Probable Pitchers
Silseth has strictly featured out of the bullpen in 2023 for the Angels, but that will change Tuesday as he makes his first start of the campaign. The 22-year-old is 0-0 with a 3.24 ERA in four outings this year, striking out five in 8.1 innings while walking five as well.
The New Mexico native made seven starts in 2022 but didn’t fare all that well, compiling a 6.59 ERA. He’s faced the Orioles once in his short big-league career, allowing four earned runs in four innings.
Silseth vs Kremer Stats
0-0 | Record | 4-1 |
3.24 | ERA | 4.97 |
8.1 | Innings Pitched | 41.2 |
5 | Strikeouts | 32 |
5 | Walks | 13 |
Kremer’s record certainly looks good at 4-1, but his ERA doesn’t at 4.97. The righty has given up seven home runs in eight starts and allowed 23 earned runs overall in 41.2 innings.

However, Kremer is improving as of late. He’s only surrendered one run across his previous two appearances, holding the Rays scoreless on May 10th in six clean frames on just four hits. That’s certainly a positive sign. His only start against the Angels lifetime was solid too, allowing no runs in five innings.
The Ohtani Show
Los Angeles rode the brilliance of two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani in the series opener. The righty threw seven innings and gave up five runs, which isn’t exactly the greatest line. But, he helped himself at the plate, going 4 for 5 with a triple, home run, and walk. Ohtani also drove in three.

The Angels truly exploded offensively, banging out 17 hits to just six for Baltimore. Mike Trout also had a pair of knocks, while four others enjoyed multi-hit games, too. They’ve actually had one of the best MLB lineups around to start the campaign.
Solid Start For Baltimore
The Orioles just missed out on the playoffs last season but there was no shortage of excitement about their future. You can see exactly why. Baltimore is second in the AL East with a 26-15 record and truly has one of the best young cores in the MLB.
Baltimore couldn’t muster up enough offense Monday though. I mean five runs off Ohtani isn’t bad, but the pitching simply couldn’t stop the Angels from scoring. Rookie Grayson Rodriguez lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up eight earned.

Angels vs Orioles Predictions
Kremer really seems to be turning a corner lately. That’s enough for me to ride the Orioles moneyline. I expect their offense to produce behind a solid outing from the right-hander.
Pick: Orioles moneyline (-130)
