Rory McIlroy has been firing on all cylinders to start the 2018-19 PGA Tour season and it finally culminated in a victory at last week’s Players Championship.
The four-time major champion will almost uncertainly be considered the favorite at all the majors to add to his haul for the first time since 2014, and he’s also the undisputed favorite to win the money list.

Rory McIlroy Threatening to run away with Money Title
This one seems to already be over despite it only being March. Realistically that is obviously not the case, but McIlroy is playing some inspired golf.
Many congratulations on your @PGATOUR @THEPLAYERSChamp victory @McIlroyRory. What an exceptional display of attitude, talent and determination with a tight leaderboard all week. We are all so thrilled for you! Now The Masters. My very best. GP pic.twitter.com/61YKfQKCkr

If you took our advice back in December and bet McIlroy at +1600 to win the money list you’re laughing now. Even though his current odds are so slim, there’s no reason to suggest he’ll back down any time soon.

He’s already stated a renewed commitment to playing more stateside this year than in years past, so expect the 29-year-old to win the money list for the third time in his career (2012, 2014).

Value Picks to Win 2018-19 Money List
- Justin Rose (+1600): He’s currently 11th on the money list having played just five events. He was third last season and has a win earlier this year at the Farmers Insurance Open. Nothing worse than T-19th in all the majors last season which would yield a lot of cash should he do that again this year.
- Jason Day (+2800): Currently 21st on the money list. Apart from a withdrawal at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he’s been 13th or better in six other events, including four top-10’s. 10th on money list last year and was second in both 2015 and 2016.
- Jordan Spieth (+9000): Has had an extremely disappointing campaign to date, ranking a shocking 175th. Has the ability to turn it on at any time and get red hot. From 2013 to 2017 was not worse than 11th on the list including a win in 2015 and second place showing two years ago.
