In addition to outright LIV GOLF odds 2022, Top Finishing Position and First Round Leader markets appear to be a staple going forward. We’ve scanned the oddsboard in both categories and have come up with the following targets for this week’s LIV Golf Bedminster tournament in New Jersey, which starts on Friday.

2022 LIV Golf Bedminster Picks

Paul Casey’s arrival to LIV Golf has pretty much flown under the radar. Bigger names such as Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson have faced heavy scrutiny for abandoning the PGA Tour, but Casey’s name has yet to be dragged through the mud.

Paul Casey and Charles Howell III said Bryson DeChambeau called them and that’s how they started getting involved with LIV. Kokrak says same about Koepka.

He’s the sixth highest ranked player in the field this week per the official world golf rankings, and arguably the best ball striker. No one on the PGA Tour gained more strokes on approach over their past 50 rounds than Casey and he’s parlayed that skillset into a plethora of top-five results over his career.

In addition to 19 worldwide victories, Casey’s resume includes 30 top-five finishes on the PGA Tour. Most of which have come at difficult courses, and this week’s stop at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster profiles as an extremely stiff challenge.  Let’s target him in the Top-5 market.

If you’re looking for Bedminster sleepers, don’t skip past Hennie du Plessis. The South African finished runner-up in the inaugural LIV Golf event in London, and played phenomenally on the DP World Tour earlier this year.

Hennie du Plessis made more money ($2.1M) with his runner-up finish at the LIV event this week than 213 of 253 PGA Tour players have made so far this season (average number of starts: 15).

He ranked top-11 in driving distance, putts per GIR and scoring, and posted four top-10’s in 13 starts. Given the premium placed on length off the tee this week, another du Plessis T10 is very much in play.

Matthew Wolff Offers Great Value

Not very many players had the winning pedigree of Matthew Wolff coming out of college, and few players today have the same ceiling as him for one round. When he’s on, he can go extremely low at any golf course in the world, which makes him a great first-round leader bet.

Wolff has battled his share of mental health issues recently, but looked great in his LIV Golf debut last month. The 23-year-old led the field in driving distance, move over Bryson, and finished seventh in greens in regulation en route to an eighth-place result.

If he brings that form to LIV Golf Bedminster on Friday, you have to like his chances of winding up on top of the leaderboard after the opening round.
