After the PGA Tour had an event in Mexico this past weekend, the worlds best head to Florida for the always entertaining Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. The golf course is PGA National, and it features the treacherous closing stretch tabbed “The Bear Trap” where many golf balls are swallowed up into a watery grave. Austin Eckroat is the defending champion, having won his first PGA Tour title here a year ago.
Cognizant Classic Odds 2025
Shane Lowry is the +1800 favorite, having finished inside the top-5 the last three years at this tournament. He’s followed by a trio of past champs of this event in Sungjae Im, Sepp Straka and Russell Henley.

Gary Woodland Quietly Playing Solid Golf
Gary Woodland has been putting together a strong run of play in 2025, where he’s put up a trio of top-25 finishes in four starts. Towards the end of 2024, his game was rounding into shape, where he posted a pair of top-20’s. In his last 24 rounds on tour, the four-time PGA Tour champion is fifth in ball striking and ninth tee-to-green.
Past Five Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches Winners
The 2019 U.S. Open champion has had some tremendous finishes at this golf tournament in the past, with a T-2 in 2017, T-5 in 2022, T-6 in 2011 and a T-8 in 2020. His odds are a very reasonable +6000 to capture the trophy, and considering the field isn’t elite, he could very well get back into the winner’s circle.
Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches 2025 Predictions, Picks and Value Bets
- Eric Cole +8000: Though he’s still in search for his maiden PGA Tour title, Eric Cole has some good vibes at this track, having been solo second here in 2023, where he dropped a playoff to Chris Kirk. His best finish in 2025 was a fifth place showing at the Sony Open.
- Nico Echavarria +10000: Intriguing odds for a player who has two wins in the last two years, and he very nearly made it three, losing in a playoff at the Sony Open in Hawaii earlier this season. That followed another runner-up result that the Colombian had to end 2024.
- Joel Dahmen +16000: Joel Dahmen will be an interesting wager in the top 10/20 market. In two of his last three starts, he’s put up really solid finishes, with a T-9th at the Farmers Insurance Open, then was T-6th this past tourney at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld.
