Masters week is upon us, and there’s no shortage of ways to bet on the best golf tournament of the entire year. Articles covering the best outright wagers, and favorite longshots and sleepers have already been written, so now it’s time to dive into prop bets.
Online sportsbooks are offering a variety of different props leading up to the tournament, so let’s get started with a breakdown of who the top former winner will be in 2021.
Spieth Set up to Shine
Two months ago, 2015 champ Jordan Spieth was +5000 to win the Masters. Now, that number has been shortened all the way down to +1100. Spieth is fresh off a win at the Valero Texas Open last week, and has the second shortest odds to be the top former winner in this field.
Top Former Winner Odds
Golfer | Odds at FanDuel |
---|---|
Dustin Johnson | +175 |
Jordan Spieth | +250 |
Patrick Reed | +550 |
Sergio Garcia | +900 |
Adam Scott | +1000 |
Bubba Watson | +1200 |
Phil Mickelson | +2200 |
Danny Willett | +2900 |
Zach Johnson | +2900 |
Charl Schwartzel | +4200 |
Bernhard Langer | +6500 |
Fred Couples | +10000 |
Ian Woosnam | +10000 |
Jose Maria Olazabal | +10000 |
Larry Mize | +10000 |
Mike Weir | +10000 |
Sandy Lyle | +10000 |
Vijay Singh | +10000 |
All odds as of April 6th.
Last week’s win certainly didn’t come out of nowhere, as Spieth’s game has been razor sharp over the last few months. In addition to his victory, he also racked up top-four finishes at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, AT&T Pro-Am and Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Spieth ranks second in this field over the past 24 rounds in strokes gained approach, and sixth in Par-5 scoring, which are two key stats to finding success at Augusta. The 27-year-old has finished 46th and 21st in his past two trips to the Masters, but prior to that his results were 3rd, 11th, 2nd, 1st, and 2nd.
Pick: Jordan Spieth Top Former Winner (+250)
[promoted-sportsbook]Don’t Sleep on Robert Macintyre
No debutant has won at Augusta since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979, but plenty of first timers has performed well in their inaugural appearance. For instance, the aforementioned Spieth placed T-2 as a debutant in 2014. Most people will automatically flock to bet Will Zalatoris for top Debutant this year, but don’t sleep on Robert Macintyre.
Top Debutant Odds
Golfer | Odds at FanDuel |
---|---|
Will Zalatoris | +110 |
Carlos Ortiz | +220 |
Robert Macintyre | +290 |
Tyler Strafaci | +1400 |
Joe Long | +2900 |
Charles Osborne | +4100 |
The big hitting Scotsman has made the cut in his only two appearances at Majors, highlighted by a 6th place finish at the Open Championship in 2019.

He ranks 14th on the European Tour this season in strokes gained total, and 17th in strokes gained off-the-tee. Last time we saw him, he made it out Group A at the Dell Technologies Matchplay, a pod that included Kevin Na and defending champ Dustin Johnson.

He’s a left-handed player, which should help him navigate this difficult track. Augusta National favors a right-to-left ball flight and fellow lefties Bubba Watson (x2), Phil Mickelson (x3) and Mike Weir have all slipped on the Green Jacket in the last two decades.
Pick: Robert Macintyre Top Debutan (+290)
Phil In Fine Form
Speaking of lefties, Mickelson enters this week in fine form, having placed 35th at the Players Championship, and 25th at the Honda Classic in the last month. It’s no surprise he has the shortest odds to be the top Senior this week, especially given his age (recently turned 50), and the fact that he’s won two of his three starts on the Champions Tour.
Top Senior Odds
Golfer | Odds at FanDuel |
---|---|
Phil Mickelson | -115 |
Bernhard Langer | +470 |
Fred Couples | +550 |
Mike Weir | +700 |
Vijay Singh | +1000 |
Jose Maria Olazabal | +3300 |
Larry Mize | +3300 |
Sandy Lyle | +3300 |
Ian Woosnam | +5000 |
Lefty, a three-time Masters champion, finished inside the top-20 at the 2019 Masters, and has top-10 upside this week, while the other eight seniors will need a phenomenal performance just to make the cut. Mickelson is as short as -145 to be top Senior at other online sportsbooks, so take advantage of the discount.
Pick: Phil Mickelson Top Senior (-115)
Bet On Bubba
If you think we’re done talking about left-handed players, think again. Bubba Watson enters the week fresh off an impressive showing at the Dell Technologies Match Play, and now returns to a course he excels at.
Top Lefty Odds
Golfer | Odds at FanDuel |
---|---|
Bubba Watson | +110 |
Brian Harman | +220 |
Robert Macintyre | +290 |
Phil Mickelson | +1400 |
Mike Weir | +2900 |
The two-time Masters champion has five top-25’s and three top-5’s at this tournament, and can shape the ball around every obstacle, and cut every corner at Augusta National. He finished 12th the last time the Masters was contested in April, and has two top-7 finishes already this season.

Mickelson is also an intriguing option for this prop, but you can get much better odds betting him to finish inside the top-20 (+450), a result he’d likely need anyways to have any chance of winning this prop.
Pick: Bubba Watson Top Lefty (+110)
