Aaron Murray’s won’t be able to play his last game as a Georgia Bulldog, but his team will try to end his legacy with a win at the Gator Bowl, when they face the Nebraska Cornhuskers, this January 1st at Everbank Field at 12 PM ET.

Murray has all school records and plenty also in the SEC books, but he will like to go with a win.  One of his best performances came in last year’s Capital One Bowl, precisely against the Cornhuskers, where he threw 427 yards and 5 TDs.

With Murray out it will be junior Hutson Mason, who will take the snaps under center.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity. Nebraska is a very good team. It’s going to be a challenge,” Mason said. “They’re a team that’s a lot like us. They’ve been hit by the injury bug, they’re 8-4, we’re 8-4. And if you look at their games, one thing I’ve noticed is that they were one drive, one play from being 9-3, being in a bigger bowl, or playing in a conference championship just like us.”

Nebraska will seek for revenge of that Capital One Bowl loss 45-31 from last year, despite the fact that these are two different rosters.

“We have some familiarity with Georgia having played them last year in the bowl game, but these are two different football teams,” Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said.

The College Football odds have the Bulldogs as 9 point favorites for this game. Consider Georgia is 25-11 ATS in road games in non-conference games since 1992.
