Chelsea FC will have tomorrow one of the most important games in club history as they could become World Champions if they beat Brazilian team, Corinthians, in the FIFA Club World Cup final, to be played in Japan on Sunday at 5:30 PM ET.

After several tries to conquer the UEFA Champions League in the past decade, Chelsea managed to make it happen in the 2011-12 season; the next step is to win the world championship. The blues beat Monterrey in the semifinals 3-1, but their biggest challenge is the Brazilian team, by far.

“When I talk to players here, I can see in their faces that they have the belief. If we win here and we play like we played against Monterrey [in the semi-final of the Club World Cup], with the quality we have going forward and the right balance in defense, the team can win three or four games in a row easily, and the confidence can be so high’’, said coach Rafael Benitez.

Corinthians coach Tite thinks his team is ready for Chelsea, and the title is a real possibility.

“There is a concrete possibility to get the title now, but this should not distract the players. Yes, we can be champions now, and this – again – is a huge responsibility,” Tite told reporters after the semifinal match. “We had a great first half, and I am extremely satisfied because we did not concede any chance. In football,  the two halves can be really different games, but in the end we won. We had to come out of this game with a result, and as the time passed we were focused on that.

The Brazilians have won three of the eight tournament played; in fact, in 2005 Brazilian Sao Paulo beat the English Liverpool 1-0.
