- The Winter Split of CBLOL starts June 1
- Can Flamengo bounce back after losing in the finals of the Summer Split?
- Will INTZ once again upset the top team in Brazil?
The second split of the year for the Brazilian region in League of Legends is set to begin June 1, with Flamengo eSports leading the odds table after a disappointing finish to the Summer Split.
Flamengo managed to run through the competition in the first split finishing with a 20-1 record, but they weren’t able to get it done in the finals. At +170 are they the right choice to win the CBLOL Winter Split? Or is it more likely INTZ goes back-to-back? Lets take a look at the odds table for the upcoming split.

Will Flamengo Get It Done When It Matters This Time Around?
Heading into the first split of the year for CBLOL, I predicted that Flamengo would be the ones to stand alone on top when all was said and done. It looked really good too for the majority of the year as they only dropped one game the entire split, finishing with an impressive 20-1 record.
They even breezed through their first opponent in the playoffs with a clean 3-0 sweep before meeting up with INTZ in the final of the Brazilian region. It looked promising for them in the finals too, before INTZ mounted a comeback down 2-1 and managed to battle back and win the series 3-2.

This was no doubt a massive blow for Flamengo as it would be for any team that had such a dominant regular season, only to falter when it was all on the line for the title. Heading into the Winter Split the feeling of letting it all slip away will be fresh on their mind, and I expect that it will serve as fuel for them this time around.
I think when all is said and done Flamengo will be the team to reign on top of the League scene in Brazil in the second split of the year. They are just too talented of a team, and the odds of them getting upset twice in a year are just way too high.
Can INTZ Spoil the Party Again?
After upsetting the dominant Flamengo in the Summer Split, the expectations are high for INTZ heading into the Winter Split of CBLOL, but I just don’t see them being able to replicate the same success they found in the first split of the year. They proved they’re a top team in Brazil, but they have a tall task ahead of them if they’re trying to win back-to-back splits.
I would say it’s possible they can win the second split of the year, but very unlikely. Flamengo are just too strong of a team and I don’t think INTZ will be able to pull off the upset twice in one year.
Pick: Flamengo (+170)
