- EPICENTER Major starts June 22nd in Moscow
- Will Team Secret claim their third Major of the year?
- We have the best bets to stop the European titans
The fifth and final Major of the year of the Dota Pro Circuit is set to take place in Moscow, from June 22-30. So far there have been three teams to claim Majors in 2018-19: Virtus.Pro, ViCi Gaming, and Team Secret with two Major wins.
Heading into the EPICENTER Major, Team Secret is once again favored to win which has been the story all year long. Will they be able to claim their third Major on the year? Or will we see a fourth Major winner on the Dota Pro Circuit in 2019?

Will Secret Hit the Three-Peat?
So far in the DPC this season, Team Secret has been battling it out for the top spot with Virtus.Pro for the title of the world’s number one team. With Secret claiming the Disneyland Paris Major and VP placing 7-8th, Team Secret has now cemented themselves as the number one team in the world sitting almost 3000 points ahead of the number two team in the DPC Rankings.
Team Secret sits almost 3000 points ahead of the number two team in the DPC Rankings.
Heading into EPICENTER it’s expected that Team Secret will at minimum place within the top four, as the haven’t placed outside the top four since October. Though there will be some serious competition in Moscow from a few different teams, I expect that Secret will once again be the ones lifting the trophy to the sky when all is said and done.

If Not Secret Then Who?
There are a few other teams I would advise at least taking a look at to enter the winner circle at EPICENTER, and those teams would be Virtus.Pro, Liquid, Evil Geniuses, and PSG.LGD. All four teams have shown that they are capable of beating Team Secret, with each having taken maps off the world’s number one team within the last few months.
I would say out of the four teams that VP and Evil Geniuses stand the best chance at taking home the EPICENTER Major trophy when all is said and done. Both teams have performed consistently this season, with VP having an average placing of third, and EG holding an average placing of fourth.

Both teams are certainly capable of coming out on top in Russia, and if I was going to give the edge to one of the two to claim the title I would have to give the edge to Virtus.Pro. They will be playing with the crowd on their side as four of the five members are from Russia, and they are the number one CIS team in the the world of Dota.
We could very well end up seeing the same final matchup that we’ve already seen in two Majors this year, with Team Secret and VP facing off for the ‘chip, and I would say that it’s likely. Though VP will have the crowd on their side I don’t think it will be enough to topple the titans, Team Secret. I expect Secret to finish their dominant year with a third Major title, and head into The International as the overwhelming favorite.
Pick: Team Secret (+250)
