- The 11th event of the Call of Duty League takes place from July 10th to July 12th
- The New York Home Series is the third last event before the end of the regular season
- The Atlanta Faze are the favorites to win and currently lead the league in CDL points. Read on for our full event preview below
This week, the Call of Duty League is hosted by the New York Subliners as the regular season comes eerily close to an end. There are only three events remaining so CDL points are at a premium.
The Atlanta Faze are currently in first with 230 points, with Florida, Chicago and Dallas following closely behind. As per usual, only eight of the 12 teams will compete in this week’s event so don’t worry about Dallas, Florida, Seattle or Optic LA this weekend.

Atlanta or Chicago?
This event is quite simple on paper. Atlanta and Chicago are the top two teams taking part in the New York Home Series by a large margin. Atlanta has 230 CDL points, Chicago has 190 and the next highest team at this event is Minnesota with 120. The odds heavily reflect that point gap as Atlanta and Chicago are the two heavy favorites with everyone else following far behind. With that said, Atlanta Faze have had their fair share of nail biters and are coming off of a few tough grand final losses.

Back at the Minnesota Home Series about a month ago, Atlanta made it all the way to the finals. However, their journey to get there was a rocky one as all three of their victories were 3-2. Some people would say that it makes Atlanta look vulnerable. Alternatively, they’re unquestionably clutch in game 5 situations when it matters the most.
To add on to concerns though, Atlanta Faze has lost in the grand final in back-to-back Home Series. Both times they lost to the Florida Mutineers, first 3-1 and then 3-0. This upcoming weekend though, Atlanta doesn’t have to worry about Florida, their toughest opponents will be the Chicago Huntsmen.

The Huntsmen are a tough team to understand right now. They won the Seattle Home Series at the end of May, but then failed to make the semifinals at the very next event where they lost to last-place team Los Angeles Guerillas. With the inconsistency coming from Chicago’s side, Atlanta is the safest bet here. If you’re looking for some risky value, consider a team like New York.
Pick: Atlanta Faze (-125)
Group A Winner
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Atlanta Faze | -333 |
Paris Legion | +500 |
Toronto Ultra | +800 |
Los Angeles Guerillas | +800 |
Unfazed by Group A
Group A should be an absolute cakewalk for Atlanta, but as previously stated, not many of their wins have come easily. Just one month ago, Atlanta was pushed to a game 5 by the Guerillas. There’s no sure bets here but Atlanta has shown the ability to pull through in game 5’s and their group is relatively weak.

Pick: Atlanta Faze (-333)
Group B Winner
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Chicago Huntsmen | -111 |
Minnesota Rokkr | +280 |
London Royal Ravens | +400 |
New York Subliners | +500 |
Are the Subliners worth a gamble?
This group is significantly tougher than Group A and although I’d expect to see Chicago emerge as the winner, there’s some opportunity for value here. If you’re feeling crazy, the New York Subliners might actually be worth the gamble. Going back to the most recent event, the Paris Home Series, New York put together a formidable performance against some of the top teams. They trounced weaker opponents like Optic LA and the Toronto Ultra and nearly took down both Atlanta and Florida.

Although they came up short both times, forcing a game 5 against teams at the top of the standings is enough for me to consider betting on them here. Especially considering some of the changes coming to the game this week. A new update featuring some nerfs to the MP5 could shake things up just enough to see a new team rise to power.
Pick: It’s a little crazy but I’ll take the Subliners here. (+500)
