- Oddsmakers are offering a prop bet on whether Christina Aguilera will perform at halftime of Super Bowl 53
- Aguilera appeared in the halftime show of Super Bowl 34
- She is more infamously remembered for screwing up the Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 45
When compared to the experiences of Christina Aguilera, the Super Bowl has proven to be downright kind to the Buffalo Bills.
There’s an old saying about being third-time lucky. It certainly didn’t apply to the Bills, who are a dismal 0-4 in the big game. Might Aguilera be willing to push her Super Bowl luck a third time?

Maroon 5, Aguilera Have History Together
Celebrities have a long history of performance-bombing the Super Bowl halftime show, and there’s certainly reason to expect that Aguilera could hook up with Maroon 5. The two combined on the single Moves Like Jagger in 2011.
That year, they performed the song live prior to the Green Bay Packers’ 42-34 win over the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field. The Saints’ home stadium, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, is playing host to Super Bowl 53.

The combo proved to be a hit with music critics and on the pop charts, ending up as the second No. 1 single for Maroon 5 and the fifth for Aguilera, passing 15 million in sales. She followed Madonna, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears as the fourth female recording artist to have a No. 1 single in three different decades.
The song is a tribute to Mick Jagger, who played halftime at Super Bowl 40 with the Rolling Stones. Maroon 5 have invited the Stones to join them on stage at Super Bowl 53, so who knows?

Maybe Mick will show up at halftime at the Superdome to show off his moves.
Super Bowl Unkind to Aguilera
Based on her history at the Big Game, Christina might just want to give the Super Bowl a big pass. She fumbled the words to the National Anthem at Super Bowl 45.

Aguilera joined Phil Collins, Enrique Iglesias, Tony Braxton and actor Edward James Olmos at halftime of Super Bowl 34 for a show entitled Tapestry of Nations, which is regularly panned as being among the worst in Super Bowl history

Rapper Travis Scott is confirmed as part of the Super Bowl 53 halftime, but if not Aguilera or the Stones, then who else might show up? Maroon 5 have also collaborated with artists such as Cardi B, SZA, and Kendrick Lamar in recent years, as well as an earlier partnership with Wiz Khalifa. Cardi B reportedly turned down a request to share the stage with Maroon 5 at Super Bowl 53.
