- Fans can wager on a number of prop bets about their favorite themes and characters from the show
Breaking Bad fans are waiting on the edge of their theater seats for the next — potentially final — entry in the groundbreaking series. Set to be released on NetFlix and on select big-screens on Oct. 11th, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will continue where the AMC series left off.
With series creator Vince Gilligan at the helm writing and directing, it’s likely that El Camino will be a worthy end to this gritty drama. But the minor details are all up in the air at this point, and that’s led to a series of prop bets on the film.
Odds for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie
Prop | “Yes” Odds* | “No” Odds |
---|---|---|
Will “Gray Matter” Be Said? | +300 | -500 |
Will Jesse Pinkman Die? | +110 | -150 |
Will Pollos Hermanos Be Shown? | -200 | +150 |
Will Saul Goodman Appear? | -500 | +300 |
Will Walter White Appear? | -2000 | +1000 |
All odds taken 08/24/19.
The odds have changed in regards to this film. Earlier on, we saw different speculation in regards to the film’s details.
Although James Cranston’s Walter White character was killed off in the series’ television days, many are expecting to see the character reprised in this incarnation.
Aaron Paul is beloved by fans, but it’s uncertain he can carry the entire film on his own. His star power is certainly not that of Bryan Cranston, so Gilligan will likely tap Cranston on the shoulder for some flashback scenes.
Just to round it out, he’s also likely to bring on Bob Odenkirk, a.k.a. Saul Goodman. After all, Saul is still active on the Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, so it’s a good opportunity for a tie in.

When considering the Easter eggs and minutiae in these prop bets, fans are best to stay conservative in just how many risks the filmmakers are going to take. “Gray Matter” is a lot less likely to be said than Pollos Hermanos is to be shown.
After all, El Camino has bigger fish to fry. That fish, of course, is none other than the character of Jesse Pinkman.

The big elephant in the room is how Jesse Pinkman will die in this Breaking Bad outing, if at all. The favorite according to oddsmakers is that he won’t.
If Pinkman makes it to the end of El Camino alive, that leaves the option for a sequel. Sequels are big business in Hollywood, so that’s a definite consideration.
If Pinkman makes it to the end of El Camino alive, that leaves the option for a sequel.
Pinkman’s death in this film is heavily speculated, though. There are no less than 14 ways to wager on. These options range from predictable (gunshot) to grotesque (burnt alive).
Jesse Pinkman managed to make it out of the Breaking Bad series alive, and his existence is the only thing keeping the Breaking Bad film afloat. Without him, there would be no chance to see this series take off into theaters.

But Breaking Bad is unlikely to have more than one feature film, and if other television-to-film transitions have taught us anything, it’s that anything goes.
Pinkman is probably not going to last to the end credits in this one, so it’s just a matter of how he’s going to go. You can bet Gilligan is going to go for a dramatic turn of events in the ending.
Breaking Bad garnered fans because of its credibility and earnest qualities. The show connected with audiences because of how real it was. So when you think of Pinkman’s death, he’s likely to go the way many folks (Walter White included) met their fate.
Pick: Gun Shot (+300)
