- Despite the controversy she’s created by opening an OnlyFans account, odds are -450 that actor Bella Thorne won’t deactivate it
- Thorne made $2 million in her first week on the site, causing the site’s operators to put caps on what users could charge for content
- The adult website permits users to create and market their own adult content, which is then purchased via a subscription-based format
As far as the regular clients on the OnlyFans website are concerned, Bella Thorne isn’t exactly the belle of the ball.
The 22-year-old actor, best known for her work with Disney and the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies, is causing quite the disruption in the online sex workers industry. Thorne recently launched an account on the website OnlyFans. On this site, users are able to create and market their own adult content. It’s then purchased via a subscription-based format.
Her presence on the site led to a disruption of the service. Regular users have demanded that Thorne remove her account. Oddsmakers don’t see that happening. The line on Thorne’s account being deactivated by Oct. 1st has “no” as the -450 favorite.

A Thorne In Their Side
Naturally, the possibility of seeing nude photos of a celebrity – even if it isn’t an A-lister – was going to cause a stir. And it most certainly did.
I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, And in trying to do this I hurt you. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma behind sex work, porn, and the natural hatred people spew…

Thorne boasted of making $1 million during her first day on the site. By the end of the week, her account was up to $2 million.
On her Twitter site, she claimed her purpose in opening the account was to bring attention to the plight of online sex workers and to help in removing the stigma attached to this type of work.
The Old Bait and Switch
The snit really hit the fan when Thorne sent out a $200 pay-per-view offer to subscribers offering access to view nudes of her. But those who paid for the chance complained that the actor was wearing lingerie in the photos.
Calling it a scam, subscribers demanded refunds, and that created a cash crisis for OnlyFans.
In response, operators of the OnlyFans site brought in new restrictions for creators. Going forward, the maximum they’d be able to charge for exclusive content would be $50. Tips were also capped at $100. Instead of being paid weekly as in the past, content providers will now be paid monthly.
Bella Thorne still has her OF account active and even tho she's "sorry for what happened" and "in talks with OF" she's still getting subs at $20 a head. Her account should be DOWN. Her money should be REFUNDED or just straight up donated to SWers but we got a "sorry" and "talks"

Site operators claimed this plan was in the works regardless of whether Thorne opened her account. Regular users weren’t buying it, though. They lashed out at Thorne. She issued an apology but didn’t deactivate her account.
Thorne OnlyFans the Flames
Thorne is also claiming that she was doing research for a role in a film she would be doing with director Sean Baker. That was her reasoning for opening the OnlyFans account.

This was news to Baker. He took to social media to issue a complete denial of Thorne’s claim.

So what’s really going on here? Let’s take a wild stab at it. Among the more common themes noticeable during this mess were the number of people who commented “Who’s Bella Thorne?” on social media in response to this ongoing controversy.
The writer Oscar Wilde famously said that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.
Everyone is suddenly talking about Thorne and what celebrity ever wanted to make that stop?
Pick: No (-450)
