- J-Lo and Shakira will be the halftime performers at Super Bowl 54
- Will there be a wardrobe malfunction? Wil J-Lo and Shakira both sing in Spanish?
- Oddsmakers have already posted a series of Super Bowl halftime show prop wagers
On Thursday, Shakira and J-Lo were announced as the halftime act for Super Bowl 54, which means two things: (1) Tom Brady won’t be the only over-40 performer at the event, and (2) the first halftime show prop wagers are already out.
Oddsmakers early props covering everything, including what might not be covered: Will there be cleavage of either the butt or breast variety? Should we expect a wardrobe malfunction?
Check out all of the Super Bowl 54 halftime props, below.

A very unscientific study done by viewing all of their music videos and concert footage (purely for research purposes, of course) reveals that Lopez is far more likely to show off a little cleavage than Shakira. J-Lo has also gained a reputation for flaunting her cleavage in public appearances.
Going to set the world on

J-Lo is the only one of the two performers showing any cleavage in the official poster announcing them as the Super Bowl 54 halftime performers.
Pick: Jennifer Lopez Only (+125)
Odds Enrique Iglesias Makes an Appearance on Stage

No | -500 |
Yes | +300 |
The announcement of J-Lo and Shakira has generally been well-received by the public. After Adam Levine and Maroon 5 crashed and burned in last year’s halftime show, the Super Bowl committee would’ve been hard-pressed to lower the bar any further.
Breaking: Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be the halftime performers for Super Bowl LIV in Miami. Other performers also expected to be added. But a Miami flavor for Miami’s next Super Bowl.

Still, the choice isn’t without criticism. Neither Lopez or Shakira are from Miami. A similar complaint was raised by the locals at Super Bowl 40 when the Rolling Stones were chosen over any number of potential Motown acts.
The NFL sought to solve that problem by booking a number of Detroit-area acts for pre-game performance at Ford Field. In a similar vein, it’s already been revealed that other acts will be added to give Super Bowl 54 a Miami flavor.

Look for the likes of Pitbull and DJ Khaled to make cameos. Maybe even Will Smith. And can you have a Super Bowl in Miami without Gloria Estefan?
We’re pretty sure they can do without Enrique Iglesias, though. Yes, he once toured with J-Lo. That was in 2012.
Pick: No (-500)
Odds J-Lo Does the Shakira Hip Shake
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
Yes | -150 |
No | +110 |
There’s no greater compliment one performer can pay to another than to cover their work. And J-Lo certainly has what’s required to join Shakira in her world-famous hip shake.
Raise your hands if you want to see this happen.
Okay. It’s unanimous.
Pick: Yes (-150)
Odds Jay-Z Is Shown During the Super Bowl Broadcast
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
No | -200 |
Yes | +150 |
This looks to be a really good value bet. The NFL didn’t sign the rap star and music mogul to a partnership deal to not exploit it.
Jerry Jones on Jennifer Lopez, Shakira performing at Super Bowl: “J-Lo is a personal friend, and I’m proud to say that. …There’s no person, man or woman, that I admire more than her…She really is the complete package. The real deal.” Compared likeability, work ethic to Jay-Z.

Of course he’ll be shown during the broadcast.
Pick: Yes (+150)
Odds J-Lo Shows Butt Cleavage
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
Yes | -300 |
No | +200 |
Anyone else notice what body part J-Lo sought to emphasize in the promo shot announcing her Super Bowl 54 halftime show appearance?

This is someone who performed a duet with Iggy Azalea featuring the following lyrics: “Big, big booty, what you got a big booty?”
Need more be said?
Pick: Yes (-300)
Odds J-Lo and Shakira Both Sing in Spanish
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
Yes | -500 |
No | +300 |
The NFL sought to emphasize the Latina flavor with the introduction of Shakira and J-Lo on Thursday.
It’s Miami. They’re both Latina singers. Both have performed in Spanish.

Of course they will sing lyrics in Spanish at the Super Bowl.
Pick: Yes (-500)
Odds Shakira and J-Lo Kiss
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
No | -1500 |
Yes | +700 |
This isn’t the Grammy Awards. Neither of these two covet controversy.
Shakira was criticized for not being African when she was chosen to perform the official song for 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Lopez took heat for performing a Motown tribute at this year’s Grammys. People felt it should’ve been an African-American artist.
That’s been the extent of their controversial moments. A kiss between the two on stage at the Super Bowl isn’t happening.
Pick: No (-1500)
Odds There Is a Wardrobe Malfunction
Outcome | Odds |
---|---|
No | -300 |
Yes | +200 |
After her infamous wardrobe malfunction at Super Bowl 38, Janet Jackson’s workload clearly suffered. A recent GQ story revealed that CBS CEO Les Moonves sought to destroy Jackson’s career.
This entire thing was an elaborate stunt to get Adam Levine shirtless for a captive audience of 100 million people. But we should have known that already.

Lopez and Shakira want no part of anything like that. Nor do they want to repeat the horrific wardrobe malfunction of Super Bowl 53, when Levine thought it would be a good idea to take his shirt off.
Pick: No (-300)
