Marquette looks to get deep into March Madness, but to do, so they need to start by beating the Davidson Wildcats this Thursday at 3:10 PM ET in the East Region.

The Wildcats will be anything but an easy target as they have won their last 17 games in a row, without many problems. Their coach, Bob McKillop is on his 23rd year and has recently been chosen to be the head coach of Team USA in the 2013 World University Games Team.

“Representing our country is one of the most significant experiences for a coach or player,” said McKillop in a statement. “I will treasure the opportunity. It’s an honor to coach the USA Basketball World University Games Team.”

Before taking the USA team, he needs to take on Marquette, who’s coming for a deep revenge after losing to Notre Dame in the Big East tournament.

“I think when you get embarrassed on national TV with 11 turnovers (in the first half) against a team that doesn’t press, you hope that you respond in a much more positive way, and I thought our guys did,” Marquette coach Buzz Williams said despite the loss.

“It’s a grind,” coach Buzz Williams said of the 15-team league, which accounted for eight of the 68 entrants in this year’s field. “I’m glad that we don’t have to play any more Big East teams. I think that it gives your team and your staff new life.”

Marquette is 3 point favorites over the Davidson for this Thursday.
