A tremendous Big 10 matchup hits the floor of the Kohl Center this Sunday when the Michigan State Spartans clash against the Wisconsin Badgers, at 1 PM ET in the best College Basketball game broadcasted by CBS this weekend.

Michigan State is 20-3 this season, but two of those three losses came against in their last four presentations; the good news for the Spartans is that they beat Penn State 82-67 in their last outing with 19 points from Kenny Kaminski.

“I just feel that we’re in the hunt right now,” Spartans coach Tom Izzo said. “After what we’ve gone through, we’re in the hunt, and that’s what I told our players. You’ve got to be in the hunt before you get a chance to win a championship.”

Michigan State’s only loss against a Big Ten rival came against Michigan on January 25th; they are 9-1 inside the conference.

Wisconsin is 18-5 in the season; they beat Illinois 75-63 in their last game, but it was only their second victory over the last seven games.  The Badgers are 5-5 against Big 10 rivals and 3-1 against ranked opponents, including victories over Iowa, Illinois and Florida.

“I’ll always talk to the guys about the teaching points from the clips,” Badgers coach Bo Ryan said. “So I wanted to find out yesterday exactly what it is that guys see. So I took the 28 clips and just showed the clip, they wrote down what they saw. The second clip, they wrote down what they saw. Just like they were in the classroom. Pretty perceptive group. They caught a lot of the teaching points. But you never know.”
