UCLA (4-0) takes its unbeaten record to Autzen Stadium against No. 13 Oregon (3-1) on October 10. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET on CBS. Oregon is coming off a 41-27 road win over USC, while UCLA just defeated Maryland 54-3.

The market has made Oregon a substantial home favorite, but UCLA brings a productive ground game and a five-game winning streak dating back to last season. Here are my UCLA vs. Oregon prediction, updated prediction market odds, and best-bet analysis.

My UCLA vs Oregon prediction is Oregon -10.5. The 50¢ price gives the spread a roughly even split, and I think the home-field advantage and defensive matchup give the Ducks the better side.

The biggest news of the week was Oregon ruling quarterback Dante Moore out. Dylan Raiola now takes the starting snaps after going 19-for-25 for 289 yards and two touchdowns in relief against USC. That change adds uncertainty, but Raiola showed enough pocket presence to keep Oregon’s offense dangerous.

Oregon is 28-2 at home under head coach Dan Lanning. UCLA’s offense has been dominant on the ground, averaging 281.5 rushing yards per game at 6.95 yards per carry, but there is a sample-size concern: the Bruins’ first four opponents have a combined 8-12 record.

Wayne Knight leads UCLA’s ground attack with 111.3 rushing yards per game and nine touchdowns. Oregon, however, has held opponents to a 21.2% third-down conversion rate, allowing only 11 conversions on 52 attempts. If the Ducks limit UCLA’s early-down rushing success, the Bruins could face more obvious passing situations against an aggressive defense.

The Oregon moneyline is priced at 79¢, while UCLA is at 22¢. The spread is close to a coin flip, with Oregon -10.5 at 50¢ and UCLA +10.5 at 51¢. The total is also narrowly tilted toward the Under, with Under 58.5 at 52¢ versus 49¢ for the Over. A winning contract pays $1 before fees; a 52¢ entry is approximately -108 in American odds.

UCLA vs Oregon Best Bets

Under 58.5
52%

My UCLA vs Oregon best bet on the total is Under 58.5. Both teams are averaging more than 40 points per game, but this matchup sets up differently from a typical track meet. Oregon’s third-down defense can shorten possessions, while UCLA’s defense has generated 12 takeaways and may force the Ducks to play more carefully with a new starting quarterback.

Oregon has given the ball away only twice this season and has thrown zero interceptions. That ball security matters against a UCLA defense looking to create extra possessions. At the same time, the Bruins have four offensive giveaways, so the turnover battle could influence whether either offense finds enough short fields to push the score well beyond the posted total.

My preferred game script is Oregon controlling the tempo, avoiding major mistakes and forcing UCLA to sustain long drives. That does not require a low-scoring game throughout; it requires the defenses and situational football to prevent consistent explosive scoring opportunities. The Under is the better total position at 52¢, while Oregon -10.5 remains my side.

UCLA vs Oregon Team Statistics & Matchup Analysis

UCLA and Oregon have produced similar scoring output through the opening weeks, but their offensive identities differ. UCLA has relied heavily on its rushing attack, while Oregon combines a more balanced approach with stronger third-down defense.

The Turnover Differential vs. Ball Security

The matchup’s central contrast is UCLA’s opportunistic defense against Oregon’s ball security. UCLA has already created 12 defensive takeaways, but Oregon has avoided interceptions and committed only two giveaways. If the Bruins cannot pressure Raiola into mistakes, they may need to build long scoring drives against Oregon’s 21.2% opponent third-down rate.
