The price is the drawback. At -167, I need a stronger case than simply fading last week’s box score. The competition for catches makes 4.5 playable for me, but I would pass if the line dropped to 3.5. That would leave considerably less room for Wingo to contribute.

There is a meaningful step from one touchdown to three, though. Sayin went 18-of-22 for 241 yards and two scores in the 59-3 win over Kent State. Even with Ohio State scoring that many points, this prop would have lost.

That keeps this from being an automatic play based on the team’s scoring potential. Rushing touchdowns can take away passing opportunities, and an early lead can reduce second-half attempts. At -125, I am backing the Heisman Trophy odds candidate’s efficiency to produce the third score against Illinois, rather than paying a steep premium for a lower milestone.

CFB Player Prop Pick #3: Aaron Philo (Florida) Over 1.5 Passing TDs

Aaron Philo has 721 passing yards and six touchdown passes through three games, completing 73.4% of his attempts. He threw three touchdowns in the opener and two in his second appearance before finishing with one at Auburn.

Florida still won that Auburn game 44-39, with Philo completing 15-of-22 for 204 yards. Ole Miss should provide another reason for the Gators to keep attacking: the Rebels beat LSU 32-24 last week behind 363 passing yards and two touchdown throws from Trinidad Chambliss.

Jadan Baugh is the obvious concern for this over. He ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns at Auburn and already has eight rushing scores this season. Florida reaching the goal line is not enough; Philo needs to finish two drives with his arm.
