It’s fitting that the prestigious Rose Bowl gets to host the most compelling College Football Playoff quarterfinal. #8 Ohio State faces #1 Oregon, looking to avenge a one-point loss from earlier this year.
That contest featured many incredible performances from both team’s stars, and those names are sure to be popular today in the college football player props. Will Howard and Dillon Gabriel are two of the nation’s top quarterbacks, while Jeremiah Smith and Tez Johnson headline their respective team’s receiving group.

Howard and Gabriel are separated by just a single passing yard in the Ohio State vs Oregon player props market, while Johnson projects for slightly more work than Smith.
As for the running backs, TreVeyon Henderson put on a show in the opening round of the CFP, and we like targeting him again versus the Ducks.

Ohio State vs Oregon Prop #1: TreVeyon Henderson Rush+Receiving Yards
Despite being a much lower seed, Henderson and the Buckeyes have shorter National Championship odds than Oregon. Ohio State has a major advantage in the run game, ranking significantly higher than the Ducks defense in success rate and line yards.
Henderson is easily capable of exceeding his rushing and receiving yards prop on the ground alone. In fact, he had 87 rushing yards when these teams first met. He averages 7.0 yards per carry, and has at least one 20+ rush in seven of 13 contests.

The reason we’re so bullish on him is the way he was used in Round 1. The Buckeyes targeted him on multiple wheel routes, allowing him to use his blazing speed in the open field against slower defenders.
That should be the strategy again tonight, and the Ducks fierce pass rush could force more dump offs to Henderson to avoid the pressure.
- Pick: TreVeyon Henderson Over 85.5 Rush+Receiving Yards (-115)
Ohio State vs Oregon Prop #2: Dillon Gabriel Passing TD
Ohio State is a short favorite in this matchup, in large part thanks to their defense. They rank first in points and yards allowed per play, three-and-out rate, as well as red zone touchdown rate allowed. The Buckeyes are also second in yards per opponent drop back.
Yes, Gabriel had a monster day in their first matchup, but since then Ohio State has clamped down on enemy offenses. They’ve faced three top-25 offenses, yielding an average of just 15 points per game.
Ohio State hasn’t conceded multiple passing touchdowns since the Oregon loss, and last week held Tennessee without a passing touchdown and just 104 passing yards.
- Pick: Dillon Gabriel Under 1.5 Passing TD (-112)
Ohio State vs Oregon Touchdown Props
Player | First TD | Anytime TD |
---|---|---|
Jordan James (ORE) | +460 | -190 |
Quinshon Judkins (OSU) | +700 | -130 |
TreVeyon Henderson (OSU) | +700 | -130 |
Jeremiah Smith (OSU) | +850 | -105 |
Tez Johnson (ORE) | +900 | +105 |
Emeka Egbuka (OSU) | +950 | +125 |
Dillon Gabriel (ORE) | +1500 | +160 |
Evan Stewart (ORE) | +1600 | +210 |
Carnell Tate (OSU) | +1700 | +250 |
Will Howard (OSU) | +1900 | +210 |
Switching to the touchdown props market, we’re locking in Smith at nearly even money. The Buckeyes leading receiver has lived in the end zone this season, scoring in all but three games.
Ohio State vs Oregon Prop #3: Jeremiah Smith Anytime TD
Smith caught 2 TD passes in the opening round, and scored against the Ducks back in October. After a couple underwhelming weeks, he returned to his target hog roll in the opening round, with six catches and 103 yards.

He’s Ohio State’s most reliable red zone threat thanks to his superb jump ball ability. His elite speed is also an incredible weapon, allowing him to race by defenders either over the top, or after the catch.
- Pick: Jeremiah Smith Anytime TD (-105)
