Running back Nicholas Singleton is a massive part of the Nittany Lions attack.

Singleton destroyed Boise State in the quarterfinals. The Pennsylvania native repeatedly gashed the Broncos and finished with 87 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Crucially, Singleton has seen at least 10 carries in each of his past five games, while averaging 86.4 rushing yards per contest.

Fighting Irish pass-catchers have struggled as a group as the team has relied on its dominant rushing attack. Marcus Freeman’s team ran a passing play on just 44% of naps while averaging 189.1 passing yards per game.

Evans has hauled in only five catches for 39 yards in the College Football Playoff, and will be hard-pressed to find much open space against a dominant Penn State defense.
