Fascinating conference rivalries punctuate the fifth week of college football season. The betting slate for Week 5 is looking glorious, and the college football player props market offers a ton of opportunity to win during Week 5.
This week the headline acts include: No. 7 Kentucky visiting No. 14 Ole Miss, No. 9 Baylor battling No. 16 Oklahoma State, No. 22 Wake Forest taking on No. 23 Florida State, No. 2 Alabama visiting 20 Arkansas, and so much more. Check out our matchups page for all the Week 5 odds.
With no shortage of games to bet on, let’s dive into my three favorite college football player prop picks for Saturday’s main slate.

Fading Ohio State players has become a weekly occurrence in our college football player props. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba unlikely to play, we’ll have to look for value on the board elsewhere.
CJ Stroud Passing Yards
If you’re a regular reader of this space, which you should be, you’ll know we love to fade the Buckeyes player props. Last week we won this prop easily. Stroud was surgical against Wisconsin, waltzing through the Badgers’ defense at will. Luckily for unders bettors, the game was over in the first half. The Ohio State pivot ended up with 281 yards and five touchdowns in a masterful performance, but he failed to come anywhere close to the prop number of 337.

This week’s matchup against Rutgers should be a similar story. Although the Heisman favorite should once again dominate, there’s no reason for Stroud to throw for over 330 yards against a vulnerable Scarlet Knights team. As nearly 40-point favorites, Ohio State should once again have this one wrapped up by halftime.
Pick: CJ Stroud UNDER 334.5 passing yards (-115)
A.T. Perry Receiving Yards
Wake Forest Demon Deacon star A.T. Perry has been lighting up secondaries so far this season. The 6’5 junior has staked his claim as one of the best weapons in college football with 16 catches for 273 yards and 2 touchdowns through four games.
He’s been a big-play target for a wildly efficient Wake Forest offense, as evidenced by his 17.1 yards per reception average.
AT Perry (WR – Wake Forest) is very skilled at getting open for a guy his size. Really like his work on in-breaking routes. Uses footwork to some extra space between him and the defender. Fluid hips are a constant on his film.

However, Perry has failed to hit the 80-yard mark in three of four games so far this season. There’s no reason to believe that’s about to change against an above-average Florida State secondary.
Pick: A.T. Perry UNDER 84.5 receiving yards (-115)
Braelon Allen Rushing Touchdowns
Sophomore Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen has put up numbers this season. Through four games, Allen has already reached the endzone on six occasions.

Additionally, Allen has averaged nearly 20 touches per game so far in 2022. He’s reached the endzone in two straight games, and now faces a flimsy Illinois front seven. Moreover, the Badgers will be motivated to score a large victory after last week’s blowout loss to Ohio State. There’s no better bet in this week’s college football player props.
Pick: Braelon Allen OVER 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns (-165)
Other Week 5 College Football Player Props Picks
Along with Braelon Allen, Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Ohio State receiver Emeke Egbuka have been some of the most consistent touchdown scorers in the nation this season. If you’re feeling risky, why not place a parlay on all three to score this Saturday?
Parlay: Braelon Allen, Bijan Robinson, Emeke Egbuka OVER 0.5 touchdowns (+222)
