Xavier Worthy Receiving Yards
There’s no doubt Xavier Worthy is a talented player. In fact, Worthy may be a top-5 receiver in the country.
The junior Longhorns wideout followed up an outstanding freshman season with 60 catches for 760 yards and 9 touchdowns last year. Worthy is a speed demon, with outstanding acceleration after the catch. If he’s able to establish a rapport with quarterback Quinn Ewers, the junior receiver could be in for a monster campaign.

With all that being said, Worthy and the Longhorns face a stacked Alabama Crimson Tide secondary this weekend. Nick Saban’s prized unit surrendered just 133 passing yards per game in 2022. The Crimson Tide also trot out the best cornerback in the country in Kool-Aid McKinstry.
Per Pro Football Focus, McKinstry allowed just 37 receptions, 352 yards, and one touchdown all season in 2022. Additionally, opposing quarterbacks registered just a 57.9 passer rating while targeting McKinstry in coverage. Kool-Aid will likely draw the assignment of stopping Worthy on Saturday.
Remember, there’s a ton of value in betting wide receivers’ unders in college football props, as we cashed out last season. Follow that trend and take Xavier Worthy’s under in the college football week 2 player props.
Pick: Xavier Worthy under 71.5 receiving yards (-115)
Bo Nix Rushing Yards
Oregon quarterback Bo Nix completely changed his reputation last season. After three years at Auburn, Nix made his way to Eugene and lit up the Pac-12. Nix threw for 3,593 yards, 29 touchdowns and only seven picks while leading Oregon to a Holiday Bowl victory.
Nix is now a projected first-rounder in the 2024 NFL Draft, and a Heisman Trophy odds sleeper. More importantly for bettors, Nix looks a natural in the Ducks’ wide open screen. Oregon often spreads the field and allows Nix to use his legs to eviscerate defenses. Last season’s 141-yard bonanza versus Stanford comes to mind.

Plus, Texas Tech surrendered an eye-popping 172 rushing yards per game in 2022. Nix and offensive coordinator Will Stein have to be licking their chops. Oregon will undoubtedly have a plan to set Nix loose on Saturday.
Additionally, Nix hit this number in 8 of 13 games last season. He should have little trouble in getting to 28 rushing yards versus Texas Tech this week. In fact, Nix has rushed for 28 or more yards 25 times in his college career. Add Bo over 28.5 rushing yards in Lubbock to your week 2 college football player props ticket.
Pick: Bo Nix over 28.5 rushing yards (-120)
