Drew Allar Passing Yards
Other than their 34-31 loss in the ACC Championship game to Clemson, the SMU Mustangs haven’t faced an offense with the talent of Penn State this season. Cade Klubnik tore up the Mustangs defense for 262 yards and four touchdowns. They’ve also allowed the likes of Grayson James, Eli Holstein and Malik Murphy to surpass this number in 2024. No disrespect to those passers, but there’s no reason Drew Allar can’t repeat that performance on in the CFP first round.
Allar has far more talent at his disposal than those passers. After all, tight end Tyler Warren was just awarded the Mackey award as the nation’s top tight end. Warren is the Nittany Lions most devastating downfield weapon, he hauled in 88 catches for 1,062 yards and six touchdowns this season. Warren’s 93.62 PFF receiving grade led all tight ends. He’ll be next to unguardable to an SMU defense has has struggled to cover the middle of the field.

Additionally, Allar has a rocket arm, and isn’t afraid to test the seams downfield. His adjusted completion percentage on throws over 15 yards down the field and over the middle is close to 80%. The Medina, Ohio native also posted just a 1.6% turnover play rate, while tossing for 8.9 yards per attempt this season. The SMU front seven has been fantastic at stopping the run this year, so expect to see Allar air it out on an overmatched secondary. Bet Drew Allar over 224.5 passing yards with confidence.
CFP Player Prop Pick: Drew Allar over 224.5 passing yards (-114)
Quinshon Judkins Rushing Yards
If you’re a longtime reader of this column, you know we love fading Ohio State skill position players in tough matchups. There are few more difficult matchups in round 1 of the CFP playoffs than Ohio State’s struggling offensive line against the dominant Tennessee defensive line.
Pass-rusher James Pearce Jr. is the star of the show, but the Volunteers defensive line ranks 12th in the nation as a unit. On the other side of the line, Joshua Josephs owns an elite 91.6 run defense grade. Nose tackles Omari Thomas and Elijah Simmons have also been productive and weigh a combined 665 pounds. Clearly, these Vols will be tough to push around in the trenches.
#OhioState RB Quinshon Judkins had a rough year statistically, but do not let that distract you from the extremely underrated talent he has

Judkins has failed to surpass his CFP Round 1 player prop line of 54.5 rushing yards in five of his last seven games. Fade the former Ole Miss star against a vaunted Volunteers front seven.
CFP Player Prop Pick: Quinshon Judkins under 54.5 rushing yards (-114)
