One of the most interesting games in College Football week 3 will be play at Memorial Stadium, when the UCLA Bruins take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, on Saturday at 12 PM ET.
The NCAAF betting odds have Nebraska as 4.5 points home favorites, with the game total set at 70 points.
“They’re coming into our house, and we owe them,” players said the Huskers Bo Pelini told them before he walked out of the locker room. Nebraska won 36-30 in Los Angeles and gave up 653 total yards. There’s some bad blood here.
The Cornhuskers are 2-0 with a 56-13 over Southern Miss.
“I would hope, and I’m pretty positive, our team is motivated no matter what the situation,” Pelini said. “It just so happens we played this team a year ago, so if that provides our guys with extra motivation, so be it. I would hope it does. Hopefully that motivation will come in the form of great preparation because that’s how you win a football game.”
UCLA Coach Jim Mora closed the workouts for the media. He believes his team needs to be concentrated for Saturday. The Bruins beat Nevada 58-20 in the only game they’ve played so far.
“Our players are dealing with it each in their own way,” he said. “We think that’s the right way to do it. The important thing is they’re together. This is a very close team, and they care desperately about each other.”
Nebraska is 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 games at home, and UCLA is 5-13 SU in its last 18 games on the road.
