Zion is flyin’. And he’s about to take the #1 Duke Blue Devils on a magic carpet ride, so why shouldn’t you get on board and enjoy the flight?
Sportsbooks are offering prop bets on how Williamson, the outstanding Duke freshman and soon-to-be no. 1-overall NBA pick, will perform during the NCAA Tournament,
Odds on Zion Williamson’s 2019 March Madness Averages
Statistic | Total (Mar. 20) | Over Odds | Under Odds |
---|---|---|---|
Points Per Game | 23.5 | -125 | -105 |
Rebounds Per Game | 9.0 | -110 | -110 |
Williamson was the only freshman to average 27 points and 10 rebounds during any of the NCAA conference tournaments.
Zion Is Making His Points
In 29 games this season, Williamson is averaging 22.1 points per game, but remember that’s deflated by his zero-point game against North Carolina, when he left after 30 seconds due to a knee injury.

For the year, Zion has gone over 23.5 points in 14 games and has topped 30 points four times. More recently, he’s netted over 23.5 points in four of his last five games and six of the last nine (excluding the UNC game).
All On Board The Williamson Train
Williamson is an absolute beast physically and athletically. At 6’7 and 285 pounds, he’s only five pounds shy of the heaviest man currently playing in the NBA (290-pound Boban Marjanovic of the Philadelphia 76ers), and Marjanovic stands 7’3.

Williamson has a 40-plus-inch vertical leap and his hang time is so electric, you’d swear he was related to Rocky The Flying Squirrel.

Yet when it comes to cleaning the glass, Williamson hasn’t proven to be as proficient. He’s gone over nine rebounds in just 12 of 29 games. Eight of those double-digit rebounding performances came in his first 16 games of the season.
Williamson grabbed fewer than nine rebounds in 14 games, and pulled down exactly nine boards on three occasions.
He’s Proven Tournament Tough
They say that, to win the big games, your best players must be your best players, and Williamson was certainly that as no. 3 seed Duke won the ACC Tournament.
Zion Williamson averaged 27 PPG and 10 RPG during the ACC Tournament.

He scored 29 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Blue Devils downed Syracuse 82-74 in the quarterfinals. He was good for 31 points and 11 boards when they beat North Carolina in the semifinals, edging the Tar Heels 74-73.

He was less dominant in a 73-63 win over Florida State in the title game, recording 21 points and snared five rebounds, but still averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds for the tournament, joining Kevin Durant as the only freshmen to do this in an NCAA conference tournament in the past two decades.
Zion Williamson gives the due recognition to #Duke’s Nick Potter, making sure the man who helped him heal and play in the #ACCTourney is in front of cameras.

The ACC Tournament was also Williamson’s first action since his five-game knee-injury absence. He exhibited no signs of rust or fatigue.
What’s The Play?
We like the over on Williamson’s points, but we’re leaning toward the under on rebounds.
He’s only gone over the combination of 23.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in seven games this season. Often, when he goes high in one total, he goes low in the other.
In his season-high 17-rebound game against Boston College on Feb. 5th, he scored just 16 points. Williamson went off for 32 points on Feb. 16th against North Carolina State, but pulled down a meager six boards.
Picks:
- Zion Williamson Over 23.5 PPG (-125)
- Zion Williamson Under 9.0 RPG (-110)
