Rebuilds Beginning to Pay Off
Neither program has cracked the top ten of the 2020 NCAA tournament odds, but each is off to an exciting 2019 start.
The Huskies are coming off an 80-62 win over Iona, and Josh Carlton put up 19 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Dan Hurley’s team has now posted three consecutive wins after a nail-biting 75-74 loss against Xavier.
Christian Vital has led the way for UConn, averaging 14.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.9 steals per game. He’s also converting from the charity stripe, shooting a 93.9% free throw percentage.

Indiana, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back after getting punched in the mouth by Wisconsin. The Hoosiers lost by a score of 84-64, turning the ball over 12 times, and it brought this team’s momentum to a screeching halt. Archie Miller’s squad had opened the year with eight straight wins, and they are looking to regain that on Tuesday night against UConn.
The Hoosiers are getting it done with a host of scorers. Devonte Green (14.8), Trayce Jackson-Davis (14.8) Justin Smith (13.8), and Al Durham (13.1) are all averaging in double figures so far.

What’s the Best Bet?
Indiana is off to a 6-3 start against the spread, but the Huskies have been even better, going 7-1 on their own right.
Tuesday night’s affair is a neutral site matchup from Madison Square Garden, and that’s favorable for Hurley’s squad. In 2019, they are 3-0 against the spread in neutral site contests. The Hoosiers have yet to play at a neutral court in this young season.
Indiana is coming off of their first loss of the year, and it was a blowout. Now, they turn around and head into a game at the world’s most famous arena. The Huskies are playing well, and as 3-point underdogs, they have a real upset shot on Tuesday night.
Pick: UConn +3Â (-105)
