Rutgers Betting Outlook

Rutgers burst to a 13-3 lead Thursday with 11:52 left in the first half. However, Scarlet Knights then scored 32 points in the last 31 minutes in losing to Michigan.

Rutgers had a poor shooting night. They made just 38.3% (18 of 47) of their field goal attempts and went a putrid 5 for 16 (31.3%) at the free throw line.

Senior guard Cam Spencer led Rutgers with 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

For the season, the Loyola Maryland transfer is averaging 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals a game. He is second in the Big Ten in steals behind fellow Rutgers senior guard Caleb McConnell (2.5).

Junior center Clifford Omoruyi posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for his 12th double-double of the season. He has averages of 13.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks, and is third in the conference in boards and rejections.

Rutgers is one of the top defensive teams in the nation, ranking seventh in points allowed (59.8), ninth in field goal percentage allowed (38.9) and 19th in three-point percentage allowed (29.9).
