Struggling rivals meet in Bloomington on Sunday when the #13 Purdue Boilermakers (19-8, 5-5 away, 11-5 Big Ten, 15-12 ATS) visit the Indiana Hoosiers (15-11, 11-4 home, 6-9 Big Ten, 14-12 ATS) at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 1:30 pm ET. Purdue has lost three in a row for the first time this season but they enter Sunday as 3.5-point road favorites against an equally-struggling Hoosiers team.
Purdue vs Indiana Odds
The Purdue vs Indiana point spread lists the Boilermakers as a 3.5-point road favorite and -183 on the moneyline. The Hoosiers come back as +150 home underdogs in Sunday’s college basketball odds. The game total is sitting at 149.5 with -110 odds both ways.

Indiana is 12-14 over/under so far this season, staying under in each of their last four games. Purdue, on the other hand, has been one of the better over bets in DI, going 16-11 O/U. The Boilermakers have gone over in six of their last eight games, but stayed under in two of their last three.
Both teams have been struggling of late. The Boilermakers have dropped three in a row – 75-73 at Michigan, 94-84 vs Wisconsin, 75-66 at Michigan State – falling from second in the Big Ten all the way to fourth in the process. Indiana’s only win in its last seven games was a stunning 71-67 road upset over Michigan State last Tuesday. They were 11-0 at home until they fell 94-69 to Illinois on Jan. 14, which started a run of four straight home setbacks that also includes narrow losses to Maryland (79-78), Michigan (70-67), and UCLA (72-68).
Indiana played Purdue close in their first matchup in West Lafayette on Jan. 31, falling 81-76 but easily covering as 12-point road underdogs.

Purdue big man Trey Kaufman-Renn (19.6 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.5 APG) has the highest point total of the night at 20.5 while teammate Braden Smith (16.1 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 8.8 APG) is next at 17.5 O/U. Smith, who is second in the nation in assists per game, has the highest assist total at 6.5 with the over favored.
The highest rebound total belongs to IU center Oumar Ballo (13.5 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 2.3 APG) at 7.5. Mackenzie Mgbako (13.0 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 1.2 APG) has the highest point total on the Indiana side at just 13.5 O/U.
Purdue vs Indiana Prediction & Picks
Outside of their 94-69 loss to Illinois six weeks ago, the Hoosiers’ current four-game skid at home has been filled with close losses. The last three came by a total of seven points. Their 11-0 start at home didn’t feature any real marquee victories, but IU did register four dominant top-100 victories: #74 South Carolina (87-71), #86 Providence (89-73), #89 Minnesota (82-67), and #58 USC (82-69).
I like the way Indiana matches up with Purdue. They have a ton of size and they use it; their top-three scorers are all frontcourt players who stand 6’9 or taller. Purdue’s huge, glaring weakness is its interior defense: the Boilermakers allow opponents to shoot 55.5% from inside the arc, which is 331st out of all 364 Division I teams.
This is a great spot to back a home underdog in front of a rabid fanbase against an opponent they can clearly exploit in a meaningful way.
