Edwards set a career-high for points in a game in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He put in 42 points as the Boilermakers downed the defending NCAA champion Villanova Wildcats 87-61.
Edwards is second in March Madness in scoring, averaging 34.0 points per game.

Zion Williamson netted a game-high 32 points for Duke in second-round action, and the Blue Devils needed every one of those points in their 77-76 decision over the UCF Knights.

Will Zion Be Flyin’?
Williamson is 13th in the NCAA Tournament in points per game with 28.5. In his five games since returning from a five-game absence due to a knee injury, Williamson has averaged 27.6 points. Twice in that span he’s gone over 30.

He also recorded 31 points when the Blue Devils edged North Carolina 74-73 in the ACC Tournament semifinal. Duke is 4-1 when Williamson scores 30 points.
Williamson was injured when Duke lost to Virginia Tech, their Sweet 16 opponent, during the regular season.
Should You Book the Carsen Show?
Edwards is the only one of the top-12 shooters still alive to knock down shots in the NCAA Tournament. The Boilermakers are 11-3 when Edwards scores 25 or more points this season.

His dominant performance against Villanova was the first time that he’d really gone off in quite some time. It was the first time in 14 games that Edwards scored more than 26 points. It was only the second game in the last 14 that he’d scored more than 25.
Is There Value Elsewhere?
You have to go all the way down to 30th on the NCAA Tourney points per game chart to find Gonzaga’s Brandon Clarke (24.0).

While he poured in 36 points in the second round against Baylor, that was the first time all season he’d gone over 27 points in a game.
Houston’s Corey Davis Jr hit 10 three-pointers during the first two rounds, but his best game was 26 points. Hard to see him scoring more against Kentucky. His season-high is 31 points.

This is a two-horse race between Williamson and Edwards. If Zion wants to prove he’s the best in the NCAA, these are the games when he needs to shine, and the Hokies don’t have the size in the frontcourt to hold him to 50% shooting like UCF did.
