This prizefight will see the WBC, WBO, and Ring Magazine belts at junior lightweight up for grabs with Stevenson and Conceicao in the roles of champion and challenger, respectively.
Shakur Stevenson’s Betting Outlook vs Conceicao
Stevenson captured the WBC and Ring Magazine gold in his last outing and looks to keep building up his resume as one of the surging superstars in the sport.
On the heels of what has been called a career-best performance, Stevenson looks to get it done in his sophomore contest of the calendar year.

The 25-year-old champion also held WBO gold in the featherweight division and the two-division champion has really been finding himself at 130 pounds lately.
There are even rumblings of Stevenson moving up to 135 pounds sooner rather than later to chase world title accolades in a third weight category.

The 2016 Olympic bantamweight silver medalist has a spotless pro record but enters a clash with someone who has a similar magnitude of fight IQ to him.
Robson Conceicao’s Betting Outlook vs Stevenson
Conceicao is making his sophomore world title bid after previously fighting Oscar Valdez for the WBC crown. He gets another redemptive crack at that belt and can even stand to add more gold to his mantle with a win in the coming days.
The 2016 Olympic lightweight gold medalist has only lost once as a pro, that aforementioned Valdez setback, and got back into the win column in his last outing to rebound.

These two are well matched in terms of pro experience, but Conceicao has over three times the amateur experience of Stevenson.
That being said, Stevenson has more of a pronounced resume as a pro and his unorthodox angles provided by the southpaw stance will assuredly pay dividends in this one. Also, Conceicao has not as seamlessly transitioned his amateur experience into the pro ranks as Stevenson has, and I think the stylistic amendments to his game over the years will shine through in this looming clash.

Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao Prediction
This prizefight is scheduled for twelve rounds and I can see this one going to the judges’ scorecards. While I do understand Stevenson by KO or TKO being valued at +150, I think there’s value in going with the prop bet on this bout going the distance which is positioned at -185.
Considering the fifty percent overall finishing rate of Stevenson and the fact that Conceicao has never been finished as a professional pugilist leads me to believe this. Stevenson winning via decision is situated at -180 and I would go with that prop bet as well for Friday night’s fight.
Pick: Shakur Stevenson (-2500)
