Claressa Shields and Marie-Eve Dicaire will go toe to toe inside Dort Federal Event Center in Flint, Michigan. Shields vs Dicaire broadcasts via pay-per-view on FITE TV.
A myriad of hardware is up for grabs here, with both women bringing title distinctions to the bout. The super welterweight championships from the WBC, IBF, WBO, and WBA are on the line here with the WBA belt being the only of the titles that is presently vacant.

Odds as of Mar. 4 at Draft Kings
This fight was set to go down last May, but coronavirus resulted in things eventually being canceled. The contest here will mark Shields’ first time competing in her hometown.
Claressa Shields’ Path to Her-Story
Shields is the top women’s pound-for-pound boxer in the sport today. A victory here would further cement that as this win would solidify Shields as the first competitor in the four-belt era to become undisputed champion across two weight categories.
The historical nature of this card is rooted in the fact that the entire event is comprised of women’s boxing bouts.
This is the first pay-per-view in boxing to be headlined by two women in two decades since Laila Ali and Jacqui Frazier-Lyle’s 2001 bout in New York.
The GWOAT (the self-proclaimed Greatest Woman Of All Time) is set to yet again make history or, as she puts it herstory.

Shields last got out there in January 2020, earning a lopsided unanimous decision victory over Ivana Habazin.
Marie-Eve Dicaire is cognizant of her underdog status heading into fighting such an exemplary talent, but Dicaire is relishing, in those perceptions and looking to prove oddsmakers wrong.
Marie-Eve Dicaire’s Bid to Be Undisputed Champion
Dicaire enters this prizefight with the IBF championship in her possession and looks to further fill out the mantle here.
Marie-Eve Dicaire has defended that IBF belt multiple times and has sat in that throne for over two years now.
The unbeaten Canadian warrior has solely plied her trade in the great fight north and this will be her first foray into America for a pro boxing bout.

Despite the high level of technique and ring savviness of both, neither are necessarily known as brick-fisted knockout artists.
Shields hasn’t stopped an opponent in over three and a half years, while conversely, Dicaire has never put out an opponent’s lights as a professional.
I do not see either of these 154 pounders emerging victorious via KO or TKO here.

Someone’s 0 has got to go in this contest of undefeated warriors. I hate to pick against a fellow Canadian, but I cannot see the former two-time Olympic gold medalist tasting defeat against Dicaire here.
Ultimately, I think there is definitely good value in seeking out a prop bet on this contest going the distance (-335).
I see the judges playing a direct role in the outcome of this one and I forsee Claressa Shields will garner the points win (-225).
Pick: Claressa Shields (-1115)
