New York Sports Betting Continues Strong Month

After ending March with one of the worst New York sports betting weeks ever, the Empire State continued its strong push into the month of April.
The New York State Gaming Commission reported more than $47.8 million in gross gaming revenue for the week ending April 13, an increase of nearly $3.5 million from the previous week.
The previous two weeks have seen a profitable rebound for the Empire State after reporting only $8 million in gross gaming revenue for the final week of March.
FanDuel Regains Top Spot
The New York State Gaming Commission reported $474,430,107 in online sports betting handle for the week ending April 13, a decrease of nearly $88 million in handle from the week ending April 6. However, the commission reported $47,819,500 in gross gaming revenue, a $3.5 million increase from the previous week.
Operators reported an 11.1% hold for the week.
FanDuel regained its top spot in the New York for the week after DraftKings topped it gross gaming revenue the week before. FanDuel reported $179,832,055 in total handle and $21,865,290 in gross gaming revenue compared with DraftKings’ $163,514,962 in total handle and $15,025,127 in gross gaming revenue for the week.
The New York State Gaming Commission releases handle and revenue reports for its nine live NY sports betting apps, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel, BetMGM, Fanatics Sportsbook, Bally Bet, Resorts World Bet, ESPN BET, and BetRivers, at the conclusion of each week.
