The MD online sports betting launch date was confirmed during a Maryland State Lottery & Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) meeting this morning. Sports bettors in Maryland will get access to some of the best sportsbook apps just in time for Thanksgiving.

Maryland Mobile Sports Betting Goes Live Wednesday, Nov. 23
The MLGCA met this morning to review internal controls and controlled demonstrations following a SWARC meeting that approved 10 sportsbooks just yesterday.

MLGCA director John Martin announced the Nov. 23 launch date during today’s meeting. This comes after speculation was swirling, with operators like Caesars Sportsbook Maryland communicating a Nov. 23 launch date earlier this week.
Some MD Sportsbooks Not Ready to Launch Immediately
A total of 10 Maryland sports betting apps received SWARC approval before moving to today’s final MLGCA meeting:
- FanDuel Sportsbook Maryland
- BetMGM Maryland
- Caesars Sportsbook Maryland
- DraftKings promo code
- Fanatics Sportsbook promo
- Parx Interactive
- PointsBet
- Rush Street Interactive (BetRivers)
Despite all 10 Maryland online sportsbooks receiving the green light, three of these operators will not be ready for the Nov. 23 launch date.
Longshots LLC (Betfred), Greenmount OTB LLC (betPARX), and most notably partners Washington Commanders & BetFanatics will not be ready to launch their online Maryland sports betting products on day one. These operators will launch their platforms at a later date after receiving Maryland online sports betting licenses yesterday.
