Costa Rica is looking for payback against the USA soccer team after a ‘snow bowl’ played at Denver on March 22nd. These two teams will meet at the San Jose National stadium, this Friday September 6th at 10 PM ET, for the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.

USA beat ‘the ticos’ 1-0 in a game played in a Snow blizzard.  Costa Rica protested about the field, but nothing happen, now they feel they can have their revenge.

“Without violence anything goes. Where we go no one treat us like kings, so if the fans want to manifest, it’s their right”, midfielder Celso Borges said.

“It is clear that the fans are mad. We at the professional level we cannot live it in the same way. Despite the fact that it hurt us what they did to us”, Christian Bolaños added.

For the USA team is just another game, but this time is against a team they can’t beat in San Jose.  Costa Rica has won the last five times they met in the ‘ticos land’; the last two times with a 3-0 and 3-1 results.

“We have a lot of respect for Costa Rica. (We) can expect a really very, very intense game, high-energy game,” coach Jurguen Klinsmann said. “But I think we have the quality, and the mindset to be confident enough to say, ‘We’re going to go there for three points.’

“This is what we’re trying to build,” Klinsmann added. “More and more, this belief is getting bigger. It’s growing throughout the entire group. We’ve got a deeper roster now than ever before. Hopefully, we can take that mindset down to San Jose and win there for the first time ever in World Cup qualifying.”

The moneyline has Costa Rica listed +140; USA is at +180 and the draw pays +215.  The game total is set at 2 goals.
