One of the hottest teams in the NBA right now, the Golden State Warriors, travel to Miami to take on the Heat, this Thursday Night at 7:30 PM ET at the American Airlines Arena.

The Warriors have won six in a row since December 21st last year, with their last victory 94-81 coming off against the Orland Magic on Tuesday.

“Defense is not something we’re known for,” said David Lee. “Everyone looks at our team and the ability to shoot the ball and score, but we’re a Top 10 defensive team too.”

“It starts defensively when we get stops,” Stephen Curry added. “That leads to better offensive possessions, and it’s fun. We’re enjoying ourselves out there.”

Miami will have their hand full with the Warriors, and they probably will have to play without star Dwayne Wade who left the game against Denver on Monday because of back spasms; he played only 18 minutes.

“He’s just sore,” coach Eric Spoelstra said. “His back tightened up, he was in (the locker room) with the thought it would loosen up and he could get back out there, but he just didn’t.”

Miami has won eight of the last nine games they have played, only losing to Sacramento in a surprising result.  The Heat is 15-16 against the spread entering this matchup, and more surprising is that they are 6-10 ATS at home.

Golden State is 9-8-1 ATS away from home, but they have covered seven of the last 10 meetings against Miami.

The NBA odds have the Heat as a 4.5 point favorite.
