The undefeated Wisconsin Badgers look to impose a school record this Wednesday when host the Illinois Illini, at Kohl Center at 9 PM ET, in the most interesting College Basketball game of the night.
The Badgers are 15-0 matching the best school start achieved in 1911-12; a win will give this generation the all-time school record.
Wisconsin loves to move the ball around, and they are especial careful with it as they commit the fewest turnovers in the nation with 8.5 per game.
“They really play the game the right way,” Illinois coach John Groce said about the Badgers. “They play together at both ends of the floor, and they do not beat themselves. They don’t turn it over, they make free throws late, they make the extra pass. All the little discipline and detail things that I think are important, they do well.”
The Illini are 13-2 this season with a 3-0 mark against Big Ten teams; they enter this game with four wins in a row, but they have lost 12 straight road games against top 5 opponents.
“Number one, they are playing well together,” Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said about the Illini. “They found another scorer, Rice has given them a lot. There’s a lot of talent on that team, and coach Groce has them playing has them working together and doing some things.
Wisconsin have won five in a row against Illinois that’s why they are a 10 point favorite in the spread for this Wednesday matchup.
