An AFC South division rivalry game hits the stage when the Indianapolis Colts visit Houston Texans in week 9, this Sunday at 8:30 PM ET at Reliant Stadium.
The Colts have won four of the last five games, only losing to the Chargers. Indy’s last outing was a 39-33 win over the Denver Broncos on a Sunday night duel.
“There’s a saying — to be the champ, you got to beat the champ. They’re the champ,” linebacker Robert Mathis said. “In order to get it back, we’ve just got to go down there and handle our business. I’ve been a part of some division championship teams. They’re focused, and they want it, it’s just a matter of taking care of business.
The Texans will go with Case Keenum under center as their starting QB. Keenum threw for 271 yards, 1 TD and no interceptions in the loss against Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago.
“I’ve got to make decisions I think are best for the football team right now,” head coach Gary Kubiak said. “The decision I made was based on what I saw take place last week with Case and him taking advantage of an opportunity. I want to see him move forward.”
The Colts are 1.5 point favorites over the Texans in the NFL lines. The game total is at 43.5 points.
Indianapolis is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games when playing on the road against Houston. The total has gone OVER in 6 of Indianapolis’s last 8 games when playing on the road at Reliant Stadium.
