- Oct. 29: After clawing a game back, the Yankees improved to +625. Still up 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and with three more chances to seal the deal, the Dodgers remain -925 favorites.
- Oct. 27: Up 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, the Dodgers are now -417 favorites, on average, while the Yankees have faded to +325.
- Oct. 21: With the World Series matchup set, the Dodgers are -135 favorites over the Yankees in the opening 2024 World Series odds.
- Oct. 7: Up 1-0 on the Royals, the Yankees are the new 2024 World Series favorites at +243, surpassing the Dodgers (+417) who are tied at 1-1 with the Padres.
- Sep. 22: The Dodgers (+324) head into the final week of the regular season as slight favorites over the Phillies (+429) and Yankees (+433) with the Astros (+833) and Orioles (+1067) rounding out the top-five World Series favorites.
- July 17: As the Yankees (+554) continue to sputter, the Phillies (+428) have become the clear second-favorite and are closing the gap on the Dodgers (+330), who are mostly treading water at the top of the NL West.
- June 10: The Dodgers (+288) continue to lead the way over the Yankees (+450) with the Phillies a close third-favorite (+552). Despite a rash of injuries, the Braves (+817) remain fourth.
- May 31: Roughly a third of the way through the season, a clear top five has emerged: Los Angeles Dodgers (+285), New York Yankees (+529), Philadelphia Phillies (+588), Atlanta Braves (+725), and Baltimore Orioles (+892).
- Apr. 10: Two weeks into the season, LAD is 9-4 and has shortened to +307 in the 2024 World Series odds, followed by the Braves (+462) and Yankees (+775).
- Dec. 9, 2023: The Dodgers improved to +542 on average after signing Shohei Ohtani. The Yankees also improved from +1333 to +933 after trading for Juan Soto from the Padres.
- Nov. 2, 2023: The Atlanta Braves have opened as 2024 World Series betting favorites followed closely by the LA Dodgers, Texas Rangers, and Houston Astros.
