The Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, played host to the PGA Championship in May 2022, where Justin Thomas bested Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff to capture the Wanamaker Trophy. The playoff was nearly a threesome, until Third Round-leader Mito Pereira double-bogeyed the 18th hole to fall out of contention. 2022 marked the first time Southern Hills hosted the PGA Championship took place since 2007 and the fifth time overall.
