The 84th edition of the Masters Tournament will be unique as can be, with the event shifting into November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was won by Dustin Johnson in dominant fashion.
We tracked the odds of every golfer involved in the months leading up to the event. Each graph below has been generated by averaging the odds from multiple online sportsbooks to give you a better sense of each golfer’s true chance of winning a green jacket.
2020 Masters Odds for Top Contenders
- [November 14]Â It was all DJ on Saturday as he’s four strokes clear atop the leaderboard at -16 after shooting a 3rd round 65, and average odds of -325 to win his first Green Jacket. Sungjae Im (-12) and Justin Thomas (-10) are his perceived biggest challenger, at odds of +1400. Coverage of Round 4 begins Sunday at 10:00am EST
- [November 13]Â Despite there being a four-way tie for the lead at 9-under, DJ and Justin Thomas are the only ones tied at the top in favorite position at odds of +500. Cameron Smith and Abraham Ancer are the others tied at the top mid-way through the second round, Smith is at +2000, and Ancer has odds of +2700.
- [November 12]Â A 3-hour morning rain delayed left us with the afternoon wave needing to finish on Friday morning, but Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson will be your overnight co-favorites at average odds of +600. Paul Casey is the leader in the clubhouse after shooting a 7-under 65, he’s at odds of +1900. Tiger Woods also played well, shooting a career first round low 4-under 68, he has average odds of +1800. The 1st round will conclude on Friday at 7:30am EST.
- [November 11]Â As pre-tournament betting has surged, Dustin Johnson is now a co-favorite with DeChambeau at odds of +800 as of Wednesday night.
- [November 9]Â As Masters week begins, Bryson DeChambeau remains heavily favored to win at Augusta National by bombing it over Rae’s Creek and through Amen Corner
- [November 2]Â Many of next week’s expected contenders head to the Houston Open this week, and we could see some movement in the top contenders based on the results
- [October 26]Â Following his win over a loaded field at the ZOZO Championship, Patrick Cantlay has jumped into the top ten, with his average odds for the Masters now at +2250
- [October 19]Â Xander Schauffele couldn’t out-duel Jason Kokrak on Sunday at the CJ Cup, but saw his average odds improve from +1700 to +1500 with the Masters now just over three weeks away
- [October 13] The Tour is ramping up its Fall swing with less than a month to go until the players converge upon Augusta National, and Bryson DeChambeau remains heavily favored

- [Apr 15, 2019] Tiger Woods has opened with the shortest odds after winning his fifth green jacket at Augusta National over the weekend. His exhilarating victory ended a 14-year drought between major championships.
